After doing the $5 sub I didn't see the Skip to Gold under my rewards but it was located on my main page of the Play Store app. Here is a screenshot of what to look for if you can't find it: https://imgur.com/a/iPHD9kR

Once I skipped to gold, the 30% off coupon showed up under Perks when you look at your Play Points by clicking the blue point total on the top of the main page https://imgur.com/a/DKZNsyg

I used it to sign up for the Google play pass $4.99 a month. It was an option when it asked me for payment. It's money Google gives you as credit for take a few minutes to answer some questions. You don't get much each of time. But that little bit adds up over time. Plus I don't really spend money on the Google play store

Subscribed to play pass and was immediately able to skip to gold. Got several offers, but did not get the 30% off coupon, so YMMV. Trade in deals end tonight, November 7, 2024 at 11:59 pm PT.

I also first subscribed to Google 1 2TB and didn't get gold, but I've subscribed to it before. I think it only gets you gold once, or maybe you have to chat Google to get them to activate it a second time. But it was still worth it for them 10% back.
