I banged my head against the wall for like an hour trying to figure out why I couldn't find a switched fuse in my cousins BMW, only to find out in my case, the drivers side door had to be opened and closed, car armed, the key had to not be right next to the car and then ~30s had to pass. To further compound the issue, the cars stereo would immediately turn off when the drivers side door opened, but not the accessory fuse tap I found. Keep this in mind when trying to find the fuse or check sites like the12volt.com as someone most likely has already figured out which fuse tap is the correct one.
Also don't use wire nuts for wire splicing. The vibrations from driving will shake them loose over time.
