All I can add is that Samsung low end tablets are very poor compared to the Chinese competition. They do high end very well though.

Thanks OP! My S6 Tab battery was starting to show some significant degradation and the FE version is pretty much equivalent in processor speed and RAM but has a bigger battery, 2x storage plus I'll get another 4 years of OS upgrades/support. For $130 after trade-in it was a no brainer.

Hold onto your S7FE, I have it as well. There isn't much upgrade though except for a marginally better screen at 90Hz. CPU is actually a downgrade from Snapdragon and has slightly slower benchmark.
I was debating about this. S9FE does have more RAM and storage space too...

Same boat as well. Looking for better value trade in. Just a reminder that S7SE to S9SE is a screen size downgrade from 12.4 to 10.9. S9SE+ has the equivalent 12.4 screen size. I am not even sure if this is an upgrade or a downgrade from S7SE to S9FE.
I have the edu discount, which knocked an extra $20 off, but I'm trading my s7FE for the s9FE+. Total pre-tax was $159.99. For me, I had the lower 4gb ram/64gb version, and the fact they treated that as the full $300 trade was super nice. Upping to 8gb Ram along with the higher 90hz refresh rate are a huge plus imo. Not to mention, I doubt s7fe will continue to get solid trade-in deals for much longer.

I have the 8/256Gb variant of S7FE, depends on which variant you opt for the S9FE. Oh way the way, the screen is smaller on the S9FE than the S7FE, unless you go for S9FE+.

Do they give you a box to mail back the traded-in device or you drop off at a location?

I don't think this is worth it, if you primarily use your Tab 6 for media consumption. The Tab 6's screen is a Super AMOLED at 2560x1600 resolution. So I have perfect blacks, and a higher dpi.
I think this is a pass, unless you maybe use it primarily for gaming, then you would benefit from the better CPU/GPU and higher 90Hz refresh rate screen on the Tab 9.

Yeah, I've been looking for another tablet on a trade-in deal for my S6, but this isn't doing much for me. I love the S6 screen!

S9fe literally is trash. Owned one and glad I sold it. Trash screen and trash soc
Dunno - I have one - it's not a powerhouse - but it's pretty nice - unhappy that there is no S10 this year as I was going to trade up. I recommend the tab unless you are a gamer.

How is that trade done with best buy?

I traded a s6 lite to s9 fe and it was a big upgrade. Happy with that.
I brought my s9fe to best buy for a best buy gift card and used that gift card to buy the ipad.

Also dont forget to price match costco

I did this with the S6 lite last time it came around and that was for the 6/128 model. Wouldn't do this with the regular S6, but the lite is trash.

Absolutely love the S9FE and for $130 it is well worth it.

Neither - if you have it shipped to your house you can use their box to send it back. If you pick it up from Best Buy you have to use your own box. Either way you have to mail in the trade.

Does it matter which year S6 Lite it is? I have the 2020 version.
