All I can add is that Samsung low end tablets are very poor compared to the Chinese competition. They do high end very well though.

Thanks OP! My S6 Tab battery was starting to show some significant degradation and the FE version is pretty much equivalent in processor speed and RAM but has a bigger battery, 2x storage plus I'll get another 4 years of OS upgrades/support. For $130 after trade-in it was a no brainer.

S9fe literally is trash. Owned one and glad I sold it. Trash screen and trash soc
As someone that's previously taken advantage of an S6 Lite to S9 FE trade in deal, the S9 FE has been really good for me.
Everyone's use cases and expectations will vary, but as someone just using a tablet for reading comics and streaming video apps, the performance has been very good. Especially compared to the S6 Lite that was slow and laggy. Hardly trash IMO, but not sure what people are comparing it to.

So have you tried trading in the 2020 version? Will they take it?

But the model year is not mentioned in the trade in listing. So, taking a chance

Thanks OP, getting this to replace kid's Tab A8 which has really slowed down recently. Only giving me $75 for trade in, but that makes it about $250 to upgrade, and this should last him several years through elementary school.

Does Samsung still do the thing where security updates are only done quarterly (instead of monthly) after the device is a few years old?
I only get quarterly updates on my S7FE. Super frustrating. It was supposed to get them monthly. Now I can't use it for work b/c it doesn't meet security protocols.

This is a great deal. I'm just wondering if a lot of people use tablets anymore?

Are tablets mainly used by small phone people? But those with large displays like the iPhone Pro Max or the Samsung ultra's, etc, don't use tablets?

The only advantage is the 3-4 years of OS upgrades. My Galaxy Tab S6 still has stellar battery life, a better OLED screen and 4 speaker sound which is noteworthy. Not to forget, the Snapdragon processor. I'll keep my S6
