not worth it 16 gb is 800 dollars remember ram upgrade is 200-300 standard for apple laptops. 80 dollars difference and refurb,

yeah this laptop is worth 500 or less because of the ram.
If best buy wants to add value they should learn to solder in ram and NVME for MacBooks and undercut apple bypassing them or provide this as a service with apple otherwise if they want to work with them instead for that.

it will require someone that knows how to do tech it vs trying to sell the public that knows nothing of tech stuff though.

What might be worth it is for you to actually see and read what the two deals are.
This is the 15" model and the one that's $800 is the 13".

FYI smaller screen is actually more desirable for portability. larger screen isn't that useful for laptops except gaming or desktop replacement. not worth it get the 13-14 size Macbook bois ignore this deal.

don't forget to buy protection cases and screen protection as well because macbooks are known to have screen cracks and they will break easily to get a 500 dollar screen replacement very frequently.

it is built to be expensive to repair intentionally definitely need to get case for MacBook and screen tempered glass if you are smart they are built not to last and expensive in price.

For you, maybe. Don't be entitled and generalize just because you prefer the 13". Different people have different needs and like the bigger display.
Also, two months ago this same laptop was posted from a 3rd party seller via eBay, refurb, for $795 and it was a popular deal: https://slickdeals.net/f/17767608-refurb-apple-macbook-air-2023-15-3-2880x1864-m2-chip-8gb-ram-256gb...
In comparison to that it's quite less and a good deal for a lot of "macbook bois".

Delusional! I ordered both 14" and 16" m1 pro and tested a week then I decided to keep 16". Once you use bigger screen I don't think you would downgrade to smaller one. I take it to everywhere with no issue. Secondly its not wise to use screen protector to MacBooks.

Btw, geek squad refurbished means playing gamble. I ordered last macbook last time it came with samsung charger and $2 usb c cable, I called customer service and being told that I can go to any best buy store and change charger. When I areived Best buy store they told me they cant chnage just charger and tried to sell me orihinal apple charger.
I don't trust Best Buy geek sauad refurbished.
