Em, you buy food for sustainance first. A lot of work and resources goes into making the food. The money you pay for it doesn't actually reflect the value of the food in those terms.

When you return food, it goes to waste and is not resold. They just put it in trash. If the food is not spoiled and you just don't like the taste, please give it away to friends/family/local soup kitchen/neighbourhood bum. You will be out of a few dollars, but you'll be respecting the life sustaining value of food, the environment, and all the hard work that went into producing it.

I swear I hate people who return opened food just because they don't like the flavor/taste.

Should really cancel their memberships.

Bought 2 last time, 1 grew mold, the other didn't. (Still ate the mold, all good. Wife says gross lol.)

Love the flavor, just wish the product were available in regular bottles, not heavy liquor-style containers that add a lot to the price, only to be recycled.

Everyone saying "Why not?" to returning food items just because you don't like the taste are the same reason why Costco has very limited return period for electronics now.

If you don't like it, and nothing is wrong with it, give it away.

It is technically. If you really love bourbon, maybe you'll like this.

Just don't go in thinking you will love this because any maple syrup is fine. Those are the people returning this to Costco.

This went on clearance 2 years ago in New Orleans for like $6 a bottle. We bought one and were so pissed we didn't buy cases of it. Best tasting maple syrup we have had. When we saw it in stock at full price of $15 in Memphis a couple years later we bought 3. Highly recommended

It was at my local store for $4.97 and a week or two later $19.99. I bought it at sale and full price and I like the flavor and price is very reasonable.

Keep the opened bottles in the fridge. Maple syrup gets moldy after a while at room temp.

Both kept in fridge after opening.

The two may have been from different batches, didn't check. (The higher the moisture content, the more prone to support mold.) Could be the random mold spore landed in one but not the other.
