I also wouldn't be surprised if the water coming out of the waterdrop is actually less healthy for you than it was without it, but I'll wait for valid lab tests if anyone does them.
If you're just buying this for better tasting drinking water don't bother with RO and get something like a Filtrete under sink advanced system or similar. That's what I have and it's much cheaper/less wasteful than RO.

i got this last year, don't remember what i paid...easy enough for me to install but i'm pretty good with tools etc.
The filter lasted us right at a year. we chose this one because of no space for water tank below the sink.

So your happy with the under sink systems (non R/O)? We currently have an R/O system that is getting old and having issues so debating about whether to replace it or try something like the Filtrete under sink advanced system you mentioned. It does look like R/O systems do a much better job of removing more 'junk' though so not sure what the correct play is here, lol.
