    • "This is a true liquidation sale of approximately 1300 guitars at approximately 65-80% off. We bought the diamond guitar company during covid and had to move factories. We got a container shipment that had too many issues so we are leaving the factory and liquidating the entire order at fire sale prices. They are sold as is, but returnable for any reason. Just ship back no questions asked? (customer is responsible for any and all shipping costs if returned) So what makes them B-stock? Most of it is relatively minor. Buffing scratches, buffing burn through, pin stripes off by a hair, fret sprout, finish blems, repacked, finish bubbles, or in need of service, setup, adjustment, knobs needing adjusted (set to high or low on post), came with wrong color trem bar, maybe a corroded screw, etc. Nothing will be severely broken, cracked, or unable to function and play. You might get a perfect gem. We declared the entire shipment b-stock without inspecting all 1300 one at a time. We saw enough to make that judgement call. Most of this is pretty minor, but its enough that we don't want to deal with 1300 guitars one at a time and photograph them all, etc. All items will have either a used, b-stock, or similar marking on the back of the headstock. In many cases we are selling these for less than the parts of pickups you get. These prices (on the diamond guitars only) are all at a loss so we wont have time or resources (budget) to sort through and find you a gem, or take pictures, or weigh them. That's fine on normal product. The intent is to move these fast and cheap. For reference, the prices on the diamond guitars website are published. We will consider bulk purchase inquiries as well. You may return these for any reason, but shipping will be the customers responsibility as we told you up front these are a fire sale liquidation as is."

did both of the guitars you ordered have active pickups? if not, how was the quality of the other guitar? also, which model(s) did you order?
Diamond Renegade RENEM-BKRS
Diamond Renegade RENFM-TMR

The flamed maple one had Seymour Duncan passive pickups and sounded okay but there were scratches on the guitar that were not consistent with what would have happened during shipping, a lot of scratches around the input jack, a dent in the back of the neck and a dent on the top of the fretboard around the 12th fret. I'm typically an unlucky person; I see others saying good things about what they received so if people are thinking of buying one don't not buy it just because of this, just wanted everyone to know my experience.

Anyone know if any of these don't have scarf joints?
The Barchetta does have a joint.

Well I had the original 3 I ordered, although what I really wanted as an Iced Blue finish. So I ended up getting the Iced Blue Bolero they had on the website this weekend as well. I guess the shipment they brought in had some and they put them up on the website. Well, it came in today. Suffice it to say, the finish does not look like the picture. It's nice enough, but is way more muted. Looks like an aqua ocean wave than what the pictures showed. So 3 of the ones I bought out of the 4 all had issues with the finish. Which is the finish is just way too thick and that thick finish mutes out all the color. The 2 purple ones you can barely tell are purple. Can't see the wood grain at all on either of those purple ones. Also, the Ice Blue Bolero in the picture looks to have a spalted top, but the pattern I got was something different. I don't know what the pattern is. It looks alright still. Oh well. They said the cosmetics are the reason for it being B-Stock.

Mine has to be totally rewired. Neck pickup is in bridge, and bridge is in neck. Paint chips, 4 bad frets and neck is actually scarf joint. Does not look like internet pics. Good luck.

Yes mine does, hard to see but yes Barchetta. The neck is perfect though, straight as an arrow both ways as of now. It's been made and tuned who knows how long? I've never had that to be an issue but I'm no guitarologist either.
I own about a dozen electrics. And of those about 4-5 have scarf joints around the 2nd/3rd fret. And 2 of those have failed. Took a while like 5-10+ years, but what happens is the neck warps in a way that the truss rod can not adjust. So I currently have 2 guitars with necks that are unplayable unless action is really high. I told myself I'd never buy a guitar with scarf joint in that area again, because in my experience this far, I'm probably at about a 50% failure rate.

With my limited reading, I've seen people complain about the scarf joints at the headstock as much as the scarf joint on the neck by the 2nd fret. Some swear one is better than the other. I think its a matter of how good the glue job was done personally. I see pictures of both types of scarf joints failing. I see youtube videos of luthiers complaining about one type or the other. I see complaints this happening on high end as well as low end guitars. Although it probably is more a problem with low end guitars more often as more often higher end guitars are all one piece or finger joints or something else. However, 1 piece have what is called a short grain issue where the grain of the wood at the angle is too small and reduces the strength of the neck at the angle. The steeper the angle, the worse the weakness.

The Barchetta, Monarch, and Boleros I have all have the scarf joint at the 2nd fret for what that information is worth to anyone.

This was a reference for those wondering about it.

guitar i ordered -

build quality looks pretty good, haven't played it yet. The finishes on these are pretty bad though

looks like it has way too thick of a finish, and the finish on it was never buffed. it's not smooth as you rub your hands over it, feels chalky and is a matte finish almost. thinking about stripping everything off it and trying to buff it out to see if it gets better (it should with a bench buffer and polishing compound)

barely see the tiger striping of the wood, buffing may help

also color is way off, this is yellow, which the pic is a white/natural. buffing may help with that also

Yah, the finishes on all the ones I received are way too thick. I mentioned that in the original post. On the darker guitars the wood grains are practically invisible while the one lighter one i had still has less punchy wood grains to see.

That's very important, the angle of the joints. The wood need to be straight to straight grain, not straight to angle, imo.

Ordered the Sunfire Yellow Halcyon https://worldmusicsupply.com/prod...re-yellow/ for $149

First of all the guitar received looks nothing like the picture. It's very dark with almost zero "flame" woodgrain shown through. Not happy with the color at all, glad I didn't go with something more expensive.

The electronics work good and the pickups are good for the price point. The tuners hold well but are very small and thin. The frets are a little sharp on the edges, but I expected that due to these guitars sitting for who knows how long. I can easily file them down a bit. The body on this model is very small, like a Jackson Dinky and while it's a relatively thin neck it's nothing like an Ibanez neck which is my preference for a metal guitar.

Nothing returnable since it all works so I'm gonna fix it up and see if I bond with it. But I'm guessing this will be sold as I'm not big on the color. Gotta look cool, lol

Anyone know of deals on guitar cases that fits these guitars? I ordered a Imperial semi-hollow guitar. I didn't see any dimension specs, but I think they sell specialized cases on the Diamond guitar website at full price. I probably need to measure the guitar and get a swimming pool or 335 type of case.

Just unboxed my Barchetta LTP in black. Visually looks perfect, fret ends are good. Neck has lots of relief in it and action is very high out of the box. Clearly will need setup. Quick check of electronics says everything OK. Little crackle and some spots of resistance when turning volume and tone pots. Hang tag says equipped with tusq nut. Can see the scarf joint at 3rd fret but not a bad joint. Will dig in a little further in a day or so. Not sure why I thought these were Korean made, they are chinese. The $499 list price a bit overinflated for a chinese made guitar. Not complaining too much but probably wont get the $149 I paid if I ever decide to sell since these are relatively unknown in the marketplace.

Hailfire has pickups in wrong positions and several chips/scratches and bad frets. Ugly scarf joint.
