And the back end indicators are painted. Lol I've only used it maybe once and the painting is already wearing off.

They are painted on, and not recessed. My #2 Phillips is showing some wear after about a year.
On the set listed in the op, they are embedded in the plastic.

This Milwaukee set isnt even made in the US and compares to the Husky. Although Milwaukee makes a set made in the US, they are more than TWICE the price!
