I tried some weeks ago and instead of Chase issue the card, they sent me a letter saying to call them because someone could steal my data and applied for a card lol.

So, who approve the card in Chase doesn't know Amazon Prime member has to login before see the offer.

I can't understand this behavior in US, phone call has magic powers and still be the #1 "security proof" process.

Same thing happened here - but they sent letter asking additional info and went to bank to submit it and no reply after that. What a waste of time

Thanks! Was looking to drop my sapphire card. My credit is 800+ and I only have a few cards. Could be why mine was an immediate approval. Amazon $200 in my account in a few seconds.

It's been on my list to go for this card. I've got the synchrony bank Amazon Prime card so I get the 5% from there, but I can't add it to my digital wallet so I keep losing out on the 5% when I'm at whole foods since I don't keep the card on me. Since this is a normal credit card I could do that.

What happens to the Prime card when or if you cancel Prime membership? Does it automatically downgrade to the regular Amazon card?

Not true. I have the same store card, but if you have the whole foods app on your phone, you link it to your prime store card and you only need to scan the barcode on your phone when you checkout.

I have no plans to open another line of credit. I will use this card on Amazon only for the extra 5%. Not a problem for me to worry about a credit pull.

Pay off your balance every month and you will pay no interest and get extra 5% on your Amazon purchases.

I opened a Walmart card for the 5% back and it even worked on APMEX sold at Walmart!
That 5% offer just ended so I canceled the card. I got hundreds back or more with that 5%.
