Makes me wonder, though -- the market is in a weird spot right now between ridding itself of inventory OR waiting until tariffs are active and knowing this could be worth more (aka "inventory profits ")

If we're 100% sure tariffs are coming, the market should already be pricing it in. I don't see that in consumer goods or in the stock market yet. I think most people believe it won't happen. The big boss just has to figure out the message first -- you campaign as tough on China, but once your advisors explain how you're about to destroy the middle class, I think some backpedaling will happen.

$.02, no politics, just economics

Just ordered one. My last scooter was hover-1 blackhawk. I rode that to work every workday for 3 years. It just died 2 weeks ago. Hope that this one can perform at least as good. Finders crossed

Can you limit the max speed at full throttle on these easily?
Yes because they are several preset modes that have a built in speed limit.

It's only "good" condition. Wouldn't really say it's a deal.

Solid deal. Lighter and easier to transport than G30P but you sacrifice range (25 vs 40 miles). Equal if not slightly better hill climbing ability to the G30P.

Can you start and go or do you have to be moving before the motor kicks in?

Since it's a Segway, does it balance itself when stand still?

Previous deals on used scooters on Walmart have proven to be a crapshoot. Since these aren't easily repairable, you're really taking a gamble. Even during the warranty period, you may have trouble finding reliable places that'll actually fix this
I have this exact scooter and while the Segway warranty has expired my CSR card offers an extended warranty. Even if Chicago it's hard finding a place that will work on them. Seems like the prevailing opinion for a lot of these is to just buy a new one because parts are hard to get and they're hard to work on.

Great scooter though! We have 2 and I love the one that works.

You need to push off to get started, though I hear that you can change that with custom firmware or something like that.

Yes you can hack the start speed to be 0 mph. But it is a pretty good safety feature! It's not ideal if you can just lean on the throttle and the motor goes full blast even before you are scooting!

These are so easy to mod thankfully.

Is it worth buying refurbished at this price? Got one but need feedback
Yeah probably once Trump takes over the new presidency all imported goods are going to double in price at least.

I'll handle him just don't be expecting lightning fast acceleration or amazing range

Cool I don't think that's a problem either way, it'd just be to ride it to school and back which is less then half a mile. Slight uphill there, downhill back. Kids got it easy these days......
