Both decent recommendations, but completely different products than these, as these are small, "precision" scissors and are not intended to be big, heavy, or heavy-duty - just the opposite, in fact.

In my experience, Fiskars scissors are about the best you can find, and always hold up very well until I lose them or someone takes them somewhere where I can't find them. Luckily for me, a local discount grocery chain with an interesting closeouts section has had some a few times recently, so I stocked up when they had various Fiskars scissors for like $2.99.

These do look similar to their small pruning snips. I'm spoiled by their micro-tip snips and will settle for nothing less when it's harvest time and the "herbs" need trimming, which can be a LOT of work.

Looks flimsy. Wonder how they'd hold up. Their pruning snips have a similar design as I recall.

Go to your big box hardware store and just buy an industrial strength pair of scissors. They'll cut anything and are sharp enough you don't need much effort, and unlike these Fiskars, will keep your thumb and fingers safe from slipping.

These Harbor Freight shears are awesome and super heavy duty. $7.99 now [harborfreight.com] but when they have their percentage off coupons it's a great deal.

I filed a warranty request 6 months ago on the weed puller. Still can't get support to reply to me properly. Their Facebook page hasn't posted since Oct 8th and has tons of people outraged in the comments. People always spoke highly about them, but I'm truly wondering now.

Big fan of Fiskars tools, here. Started a collection of garden tools of my own after using my dad's collection. My first encounter with their scissors was from 1990 when I was working TDY in CA. (Shout out, King City.) The office admin had ordered up supplies to stock the trailer office for the project. When it ended and we closed up, I kept the scissors and I'm still using it in the kitchen to this day.

For 6 bux I pulled the trigger, but if they are anything like my Friskars package - opener shears (similar design of the spring mechanism) they won't last long with regular use.
