Since the other guy focused on health and the environment, I'd just like to add that polyester is an incredibly uncomfortable fabric to wear/ sleep in. It may feel incredibly soft and 'nice' but it's quite literally a type of plastic and therefore doesn't breath at all. In addition to that, it's hydrophobic so when you inevitably sweat from the material, it will just sit between your skin and the material.

You will never catch someone with money buying polyester; it's the opposite of luxury and you definitely don't want to sleep in it.

Yes, it's bad. Polyester is not healthy and sustainable.

So only poor people will buy this? No wonder it's their best-selling comforter right now

Underlayer with a cotton sheet. You don't have to wash the comforter often. You also get the warmth plus comfort of cotton. I wash my comforter just at the end of season before putting in storage bag.

I wouldn't say it like that, but yeah. You aren't gonna sleep over your well-off friend's house and find polyester sheets.

What is a good alternative?
Around this price: cotton or flannel (especially for the winter). If you want to spend a bit more, linen or Egyptian cotton.

Always check the materials in the 'details page' even if the title says linen. They can often be misleading.

If you're looking to lose weight, this is the way. Better than any sauna and cheaper too! I recommend a waterproof mattress pad to go with it to soak up the night sweats.

To all the people complaining it is polyester. Who sleeps without 1 or 2 layers between them and the comforter anyway? Probably the same type of people who sleep with the mattress on the floor and no sheets or pillow cases.

For the rest of us peasants who buy what we can afford (or choose to skimp on quality in order to splurge a little elsewhere), this will be just fine. It will do its job of keeping our bodies warm.

I say this in every thread about this and I will continue to do so!
These are more like $35-40 comforters not a 🙄 $130 one. They're pretty good for a $35-40 comforter. The "normal" price for these is around $40 and they frequently go on sale here. This is the best price I've seen for these though, but it's gone to $20 the last time there was a sale on these. Usually the "sales" for this put it at $25.
I bought multiple of these and can say they're very nice as $25 comforters, pretty good at $35, but they'd be a rip off at like $50+, let alone $100+. So this is a good deal but it's not anywhere close to being a deal as good as they pretend it is.

These are 20 dollar comforters. I bought it last time it was around that price for a guest room and it works... fine. They're not heavy. It's a simple color. It holds up okay so far, not a lot of heavy use. There is a pet and pet hair is removed okay too.

i for one look for polyester and poly blends. cotton is too hot and doesnt dry quickly. most of my clothes are polyester. i dont know what happened to cotton. since im wearing mostly track suits and comfy wear all my fabrics when to synthetics. even my comforter and pillows are polyfills but the duvet and sheets are cotton/linen. cant stand microfiber against my skin.
