Since the other guy focused on health and the environment, I'd just like to add that polyester is an incredibly uncomfortable fabric to wear/ sleep in. It may feel incredibly soft and 'nice' but it's quite literally a type of plastic and therefore doesn't breath at all. In addition to that, it's hydrophobic so when you inevitably sweat from the material, it will just sit between your skin and the material.

You will never catch someone with money buying polyester; it's the opposite of luxury and you definitely don't want to sleep in it.

Yes, it's bad. Polyester is not healthy and sustainable.

If you need an insert for a duvet cover, these are nice and cheap. Put them in a cotton duvet cover for a better feel than polyester. I've done this a couple times.

Edit to add, just saw the same suggestion up above.

I bought one about 3-4 months ago to try, I like it, so I bought two more this time. For those who have doubts on it, my recommendation is to try it first. I used to buy 100$ cotton comforter but this thing seems ok to replace them for me

I knew this looked familiar. My brother is a cheap ass and he has this same one, color and everything and it feels cheap. lol
I would put this in a guest bedroom maybe but I personally would not use it myself.

Made in China polyester. It's not a sale at $20. It's worth $20 and you're getting the cheapness you're paying for

Are there any health risks from draping yourself for hours in polyester? Toxicity? I'm serious.

Going to sleep (and especially good sleep) is one of life's greatest luxuries and often taken for granted. Don't cheap out on your mattress, sheets, sleepwear, pillows, and blanket/duvets/comforters. You'll thank yourself later.

With that said, I have a Hotel Collection comforter that is 100% true Pima cotton. It's incredibly silky, high threaded, and warm.

Pqrobably. Just google polyester dust in lungs. For me, I'm in my 40s and I'm still getting rid of all the cheap polyester crap I bought when I was younger and fixated on cheap prices over quality.
