All current Tracfone , Straight Talk, Total Wireless, Simple Mobile ONLY operates and activates on the Verizon Network exclusively. That's cause Verizon bought all of them. So any new phone will unlock in 60 days from ALL of them.

This has been your PSA.

$262 otd to California. After reading 25 pages, here's my summary:

1. Use PayPal to get 7.5% back by logging into your PayPal account and search for promos, select StraightTalk. Will take you directly to StraightTalk site. That's what i did.
2. Chase card has 15% promo but caps at $15 discount, based on other users. I do not have Chase.
3. Purchase iPhone 13 with Silver plan. Must be Silver or higher to get $200 phone discount.
4. Do not select autopay to see PayPal payment option.
5. You can ship to different address if you're gifting it. They just need to understand the terms if they plan to unlock and use elsewhere or just stay with StraightTalk.
6. New phone needs to be activated, through StaightTalk online, for 60-day unlock countdown to begin. Phone does not need to be opened/used.
7. After the 30 plan expires, do not purchase another plan. Use it on WiFi or not at all.
8. After 60 days, phone will automatically unlock for any carrier.
9. Text "UNLOCK" to 611611 to confirm/see countdown.
10. Hope all goes well for us all.

You don't need to do anything. It should get unlocked after 60 days. Some rare case it didn't get unlocked, go https://www.tfwunlockpolicy.com/wps/portal/ and give the imei (and the phone number you got) and it will let you "reprocess" the unlock request online, if you still can't get it unlocked, you just call the phone number on that web page and they will unlock it for you. With that said, most time it will get unlocked automatically and you don't need to do anything.

Should this have had a service plan card to load? Or did straight talk load it based on the SIM card? I do not have a service plan card in the box that was delivered

Guys, don't buy! The SIM cards provided with the phone are incompatible, and I've been on calls with representatives who have no idea how to activate them. I've been transferred to multiple customer reps, but still no help. Some lucky people might manage to activate theirs, but lately, phones are being shipped without proper SIM cards or PIN numbers.
Ordered 2 phones on 11th, received in 15th, activated one of them on the 16th with the shipped sim card. No issues.

Waiting a few months before activating the second. Don't need it right away.

The service plan purchased is already loaded on the SIM card. There is no separate service plan card.

Yes, the lines should show up under the "manage lines" tab after going through the activation process regardless of whether you ever touch the phone or not. However, I'd give it some time and see if it shows up later (assuming the activation was successful.
kept it sealed in the box for regifting my nephew in 2 months. I activated with new number and enter imei from the box. it does show the new number in manage lines and expiry of the 30 day plan but doesn't show the device (iPhone 13). Am I doing this correctly?

Yeah, I don't think the model shows up there if I remember correctly. But under the "device" tab, you should see the IMEI of your phone.

I ordered 2 phones under 1 email account, received both phones.
I already activated 1 line few days ago, all good with phone call/texting.

Yesterday, I logon my account, activated the 2nd phone.
All good, I was also able to call or texts, so now both lines are active.
But for some reason, I couldn't find the 2nd line under my account.
Under Managed Lines menu, there is only 1 active line, which is my 1st line.
24 hours later, still only 1 active line. I don't see my 2nd line anywhere.

So I tried to logon again using phone # of 2nd line instead my email address.
But they asked me to create another account.
Is there a way to combine both lines under my original email account?

I think you can do it from Manage Lines / Add a line / Add an active line. Then enter the phone number or IMEI

Are you sure? I ordered 2 phones too. The IMEI for the first phone was already on the account. I didn't notice that and ended up activating the second line which worked fine. I haven't activated the first line yet and won't for a few months. My account shows the first line (IMEI) first and shows the phone number of the second line under that. It's a drop-down list. Check again.

If your first line shows an associated phone number, it sounds like it might be active already … you might want to look into it. I don't think it usually gives it a number until you activate the line. If it's already active, the service may be already counting down the days.

No, the first line just shows the IMEI of the first phone I ordered (which I did not activate).

The second line shows the actual phone number of the second phone (which I activated with the "add a line" option).

Oh, I gotcha … I read it too quick and was thinking it already assigned a phone number.

I think the IMEI may be automatically associated with the account if logged in when ordered, but not if it was ordered as guest checkout.
