Just boot in, open a PowerShell terminal (right-click the Start button, go to PowerShell Admin), and drop in "wmic path softwareLicensingService get OA3xOriginalProductKey".
If that doesn't work — as WMIC commands may be deprecated on some systems — try this PowerShell alternative: "(Get-WmiObject -query 'select * from SoftwareLicensingService').OA3xOriginalProductKey".
If neither command provides the product key, you can also retrieve it directly from the Registry. Open the Registry Editor (search for "regedit" and press Enter), then navigate to Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\SoftwareProtectionPlatform. In that location, look for BackupProductKeyDefault — it should display the product key there.

Can there be malware in the various firmware that's on the motherboard components?
How does it activate Windows automatically upon reinstall? Is the license info stored somewhere on the motherboard or something?

I brought a beelink pc and couldn't find that sticker. Haven't opened it up though so maybe it's inside there?
Don't know why I'm being thumb down, this is good info I've been provided to not just me but others.

And worse if the SSD dies in a mac mini you can throw it out or pay Apple to put in a new board at the cost of a new Mac because the system won't boot. What is worse they went to modular packages like the Studio teasing you into thinking you can upgrade or replace the storage without going to an ASP or the gray market.
But yeah give your money to the e-waste kings.

To see digital licenses login into
https:// account.microsoft.com
and go to the left and click on devices. You should see your activated PC in there.
If you have bitlocker turned on (for some ungodly reason or windows 10+ forcing it), you can also manage your recovery keys from there also.
