It is really easy to clear the direct deposit requirements because Paypal and Zelle inbound transfers count as an EDD. However, DO NOT, and I repeat DO NOT use Zelle to transfer money out. It is very common to be put on a fraud hold if you transfer money out using Zelle. Transfer money out by using a trusted hub account to pull funds. If you don't have a hub account, then wait after the bonus posts then try to do a external transfer.
What is a hub account? A Hub Bank Account is simply a bank account that will make it easy to electronically transfer money into and out of your other accounts. Within your bank account, you can do an electronic funds transfer service that allows you to initiate bank-to-bank transfers (known as ACH transfer).
Their banking system is horrible. Most likely they will flag your account after your first transfer and will block all the money. You won't find an official looking phone number because they have dozens of them. There have been many scams where you get mail posing as Citibank and even their official mails aren't that convincing. I had a hard time getting my money back and going back and forth with them. I closed my account as soon as I got it back. Never again

I used several Zelle (from different accounts).
Thanks!!
I know it's late but people need to stop doing too much . different zelle accts funding withing days may be Suspicious, for these crazy citii folks. Way too many examples of US talking about crazy hiccups and accts blocks, for you to do this, ..just be careful, next time. You got the bonus!!! 😁
How soon can I close account after bonus? Or just keep account open awhile with no money in it. Any fees for that?
Each month that it's open, requires an ehd/dd deposit of $250, atleast, to avoid the service fee . I don't know if money has to sit, but I'll keep $30O in my acct until I close it.
I just received my credit for the $450 deal a few days ago. I used all Zelle payments to myself from another bank account (Zelle set up under email at one bank and phone number at another). I initially had a $500/day limit that was later lifted, so payments were 5x $500 + 1x $2,500. Credit appeared (10) calendar days after the last deposit.
Anyone else who has already done this, did you leave the full deposit amount after the credit was received or just enough so as to not incur any fees? How long does the account need to remain open, (90) days or has anyone closed sooner?

I did 2 direct deposits of 3000 each through my employer and do I need to maintain that total to get the bonus? After the direct deposit hit my citi checking account, I transferred it to my main bank. Do I need to maintain the $6000 in citi to get the bonus?
