RAM is good. Panel is OK.

Only two thunderbolt ports and one usb port? And no other NVMe slots? Meh. It's a 14" laptop but still 3.5 lbs?

The problem I have in this price range is that for a bit more money I could get one with some gaming chops. I dunno. Not terrible, but not compelling to me.

Lol are we the same person. My thoughts exactly. I really want to like this but it feels like the price is being pushed up just because it's a newer chip despite the obvious restrictions (no 2nd SSD slot, weight, panel).

I'm hoping that I can find something like an AMD 8845HS paired with an Nvidia 4070 for this price over Black Friday. It's looking increasingly likely though that the real gaming laptop deals will be post CES in January when the 50 series laptops will be revealed

Is it good enough for Meta Quest 3 to use as a PCVR? Or any other VR in general.

Any insight on how this compares to the upcoming Costco deal on the Asus Zenbook? Aside from the obvious difference in memory?

I thought this one is outperformed the Costco deal - Asus Zenbook. Larger RAM, better chip, better display, better build quality.

Seems like a good deal. Hard to find deals on 14" laptops around/for Black Friday. Seems like everyone is trying to offer deals on 15.6" or 16".
Here are links to three recent posts for this same laptop:

Overall people seem to think this is a great laptop but lacks a bit on the number of ports. I'm seriously considering this one for an 8th grader with hopes it will last him through high school
I'm in the same boat but picked up the Lenovo 16" Core i9 laptop with the RTX 4050 GPU. That one also has room for an additional M.2 SSD. That will easily get him through high school and maybe even college!

As much as I would like it, I don't think we're going to see mid-tier gaming laptops with the 4070 at firesale prices so soon.

Would you mind sharing which one you are referring to? I'm concerned that a laptop like that would be heavy and would require charging too early.

Comparing to Samsung Book 4 Pro 360, which one is better?
