Do you need the functions? What I have learned is these macro upgrades are not worth the increased price. I have never used any of the features on any of my GoPros. On top of that, the video quality is nowhere near as good as a phone.
But if you need rugged and portability to mount other than your hand, actions cams are what you need

Costco's shipping dates are all over the place. They didnt ship mine till the actual delivery date, but it shipped from MD so it arvd the next day by UPS Ground. Mine arvd yesterday and the Costco pkg is actually the std combo plus the SD card and mini tripod, so includes the following:

Osmo Action 4 x1
Osmo Action Extreme Battery x1
Osmo Action Horizontal-Vertical Protective Frame x1
Osmo Action Quick-Release Adapter Mount x1
Osmo Action Curved Adhesive Base x1
Osmo Locking Screw x1
Type-C to Type-C PD Cable x1

I paid $243 on Cyber Monday last year from Amazon for the Adventure bundle:
DJI Osmo Action 4 Adventure Combo, Waterproof Action Camera 4K with 1/1.3" Sensor, Stabilization, Dual Touchscreens, Up to 7.5 h with 3 Batteries, Mini Action Camera for Travel, Outdoor, Sports
The difference is that I got 3 batteries instead of 1, and an extra quick release adapter mount.

I am a newbie to be honest. So I don't know if I really need those features. You sound right, it won't justify the upgrade cost. I ordered it.

Yea, I'm not gonna say I am overly enthused about being forced to register it to use it.
I guess if you register it though it's easier to support firmware and hardware issues, but I am sure it's china being China and baiting for personal information
