This offer can be combined with the $10 Tello Dollars for a new account. You have use a referral code when creating the account.

And for those new to Tello, you can roll the unused amount of the 5GB to the next month by manually renewing a day before the automatic renewal.

I use Tello for my daughter's smartwatch. At $7 including tax per month. It's the most affordable service.

I have been a Tello subscriber for years with a few Android smartphones now. I have never had a problem with coverage. It may be unique for me but in the Western Phila. PA suburbs and it rivals the Verizon coverage my GF had before she switched to Tello. My only experience with customer service was when I had problems moving my then new 5G Pixel phone to Tello. We eventually solved the problem by moving to a eSIM, haven't had a hiccup since. I save a boatload of money, for a short period I needed to switch to their unlimited plan. It was seamless and I have since moved back to the 5G/mo plan since it is no longer needed. I save a boatload of money and very happy with their service.

Also you can use $10 referral code for first month so it should be free i guess. Both users and referrer gets $10

How bad is depriortization? I have good coverage with T-Mobile and use Google Fi currently, but my bills seem really high. Google Fi doesn't deprioritize though.

Thank you for sharing. I'm just over the river in NJ. Been using Mint for 2.5 years and very happy with it, but I'm always looking for an even better deal.

going to try Tello for my plan and then add in the family, if I'm happy with it.

Appreciate sharing this info. I have been using tello services for quite some time and never observed that if we manually renew a day earlier before auto renewal the remaining Data and Call both gets rolled over.
NOTE- Manual Renewal works ONLY if your renewal has at least the minimum level of the Service you want to rollover so 100 minutes and 1 GB of data at least if you want both to rollover. So if no minutes on the new plan, no rollover of minutes. Also does not apply to unlimited plans.

No, you can't actually redeem the Tello dollars until the second month. So you could pay for the first month and renew a $10 plan for free the second month.

This is good info. But one clarification: while you can't roll unlimited minutes, you CAN roll unused data when there is a fixed amount of data with unlimited minutes/texts.

Promo or not...I've been a Tello customer since 2018 and I've been thrilled with them! Great coverage! Plus you can roll over unused minutes and data by manually renewing a day before the automatic renewal is awesome! I pretty much stick with a $7/month plan and built up so much data and minutes I don't worry about it!

You can even have them email you 48 hours before you get charged as a reminder! 😁
I've ported over numbers, changed phones, and swapped SIM cards... can't recall a single issue! 😎👍

This is encouraging to hear. Do you have any feedback regarding the taxes they are collecting?

Considering a 2GB or 5GB plan with unlimited talk and text, and right now, US Mobile and Tello seem to be the top 2 contenders

Exactly! Tello are tricksters! They love to tell you that things expired after they expire and not give you a warning before which they could easily do. Good luck!
You can set to have Tello notify you (thro email for instance) a couple of days before expire/renew date.

I've been researching cell plans, including this one. As far as I understand, this is simply $4 off the first month. The normal rate is $14 for Unlimited talk/text and 5 GB/month. I'm confused as to why the 4 dollars qualifies as a front page Slickdeal.

Yes, it will roll indefinitely. We had a line that was on the $5/month when it was 500mb, then increased to 1GB. The line was rarely used, so it was up to about 13GB at one point. And yes, create an account with a referral, start with the 5GB, then manually renew the day before the autorenewal redeeming the $10 of Tello dollars for the 2GB unlimited talk/text plan. If you used only 1GB the first month, the remaining 4GB will roll and you will have 6GB in month two. Then, if you don't really need unlimited minutes, then you can switch to 2GB/300 minutes in the third month, then keep rolling minutes and data each month and adjusting the plan based on what your actual use is. Texts are unlimited with every plan.
What if I have unlimited data and minutes this month, downgrade to tiered plan by using this method, what amounts of data/minutes will be rolled over to next month?

Getting an error saying coupon not valid when trying to apply to the $10 plan.

I think some of the taxes and surcharges are dumb (though I don't know the purpose or reasoning behind them) but because I'm paying $7-$8 per month I can't say I have any real gripes

I bought the 5GB + 100 minutes the first month (save more $ on bigger plans) then lowered it to 2GB + 100 minutes each month after. Go with the plan that serves your needs best, and make sure to renew the plan at least a day in advance before the automatic renewal to get any unused minutes & data to rollover 😎👍

Tello has unlimited data for $25 per month. IMHO is a better deal.

Well, as I said earlier in the thread, this is $4 off for the plan, $3 off for the free SIM, and $10 off your second month if you downgrade to a $10 plan and apply Tello Dollars. So that is $17 off over two months.
