Nah, this is not one of those type items. It's still an arm processor which still has compatibility issues and will continue to drop in price as more lunar lake laptops come out. Most snapdragon x laptops will be 600 or less by January is my prediction.

BB PMed me 700 miles away last time on Macbook Air deals so it's great to post MC deals
Many have reported that BB won't PM MC if there isn't a MC close by when the deal is not for shipping and requires driving. Most MC deals are not for shipping so are only valid for local buyers, but sounds like you got lucky! I also tried once and was turned down.

I have a 14" Galaxybook4 Edge running the Snapdragon X Elite and love it. For anyone on the fence, Windows on ARM is definitely worth it at this price. It's snappy and super fast. Plus, Windows is releasing an ARM update that'll enhance the emulation.

Also, I got Half Life 2 from the free Steam deal and was able to run it at high settings without issue so you can even do some gaming...

I was really excited for Windows on ARM, and especially these Snapdragon chips, but AMD and even Intel has finally stepped up their game with efficiency. I wonder if the rumored death of x86 was a bit premature. Software compatibility is a huge issue, and developers don't really want to invest to migrate to ARM for Windows if they don't have to. Qualcomm should focus on ChromeOS instead of Android tablets. They're missing an opportunity. They could push those devices to 30+ hours of battery life and rival Apple with efficiency.

It's interesting how many MC deals are posted here when there are so few MC stores across the US. Less than one per state. And almost all posted deals aren't shippable so a tiny fraction of SD'ers are even close enough to one to buy.

I actually prefer BB. There are at least a dozen within driving distance to me, their deals are just as good or better if you're open to considering their open-box deals. If you buy a lot, their BB Total membership gives 60 day returns and I generate tons of rewards points which is better value than any MC deal and free AppleCare+ 2YR for Apple purchases. HUGE savings, again, if you can't get enough tech!
Maybe that's why the better deals at MC, less stores, less employees, less sales losses at the end of the day. Good that BB price match, so there's a good alternative.

Yes the M3 Air - it was only avail for local pick up at Indy and they PMed me anyway!

I just did the PM for this and there was a local MC and I did see the local MC also has the same deal so it was easier this time around. I did send them the INDY link from this slickdeal but they still PMed me right away!

lucky lucky, will keep doing it while they let me

The update is already out, it's called the Prizm Emulator.

BestBuy may have relaxed their terms. I just skimmed their PM Policy details and they do list MC as a qualified competitor and nowhere does it say that a MC has to be within a certain radius. I think it used to state that.

Next time something comes up at MC (not close to me at all) that I want, I might try BB PM again.

I see USB 4 but also the snapdragon chip. Does anyone know if this will work with an eGPU? The USB should, but the processor gives me pause...

Microsoft needs to step its game up. I've been wanting to buy a SP since the 1st-2nd model but never pulled the trigger. Now, these gaming handhelds with full windows (Asus rog ally, steam deck, onexplayer, etc) are blowing SP out of the water and are usually cheaper.

i dont know if this has been said..
SP11 x vs elite.
elite has 10-15% better cpu (GPU same) performance. but in real life, because of inability to cool, Elite throttles much earlier and more often, so the performance is about the same.
soft ware on the ARM is hit and miss. and dont try to play high end games, buggy and choppy on both.
SP11 oled nits 650 (890 peak), lcd supposed to hit 600 nits still not up to ipad, idk if its worth 500 bucks for the oled

i think ARM still sucks at running windows because of apps not being able to run. I guess thats more of a MS or Software devs issue. i dont know what the hype is about co pilot.. doesn't even do anything other than make AI images.

go with android/ipad for tablets, until AMD makes it into more tablets (minisforum v3, hopefully they make improvements on their tablets. mainly integrated kick stand and better keyboard) sticking with my 6-7 year old surface book. battery life sucks but it runs everything smoothly.

I was able to pricematch via chat. It's a pretty painless process.

Disagree. The standard screen is still pretty fantastic.
