This is magnesium citrate. If you're looking for the kind that helps with sleep you'll need magnesium glycinate. And as others said this comes with 4 grams of sugar.

4 g is a boatload? What's better, not taking Mg because you forget or maybe have a swallowing issue OR being able to chew it any time and only have to stomach another 4g of sugar in your diet.

Type of magnesium seem irrelevant to nerve issue area. I just take zma and it helps with sleep in general. Even without pain. My dr prescribed me gabapentin simultaneously w magnesium but tolerance builds quickly. I've got a ton of nerve issues all over from a moto accident. You might find more success in physical therapy routines. Mine is only bad when I cant move due to other situations. Wish you the best of luck

My doctor says it doesn't really matter as long as it's magnesium.
