Got this for $20 on clearance at Lowe's a few years ago. Works great as a weekend warrior, occasional pretend carpenter kind of guy

This is a neat sander. I put in 100 grit sandpaper to help strip the a 8x10 deck wood clean before starting new staining process.

Note: If any of you do work on a wood deck. Consider using oil instead of water/latex. With oil, you just clean and layer more on top as it starts wearing oil. With the latex/water deck stuff you need to strip the old stuff off most of the time (and that's the most work...)

Thanks for the additional detail. In my reading however (at least for the Behr Premium Solid Color Waterproofing Stain and Sealer https://www.homedepot.com/p/BEHR-.../300845888), I don't see the need to strip out all of the old finish.
Was your need special that you needed to strip it all off?
