This is a good price for what it is with an open ram slot, IPS touch screen and i3-1215u. I was tempted to get this along with the AMEX $25 off $250, but there is one major deal breaker for me. The USB C port only supports data (no DP Alt). This means you can't hook up an external monitor to the USB C port natively or use a docking station fully. It does not support charging through the USB C port either for those interested.

For anyone needing a filler item to make this over $250 for the AMEX offer you can get this for a https://www.bestbuy.com/site/gold...Id=6494870

this version of i3 passmarks at over 10k, single core over 3k. please shutup.

i have a chromebook with the 10th gen i3, which was kind of a bad apple in that it was only 2 cores 4 threads. it passmarks are ~2k single and 4k multi, and it's fine as i knew it would be.

this has as said above a way more powerful cpu than mine. however the display on mine is the samsung qled, much better than this, so i'm still ok with my purchase which was a year or something ago. i also paid around 250 for mine.

It could be as low as $220 or so for a brand new 12th Gen i3. But this has a IPS touchscreen. There are actually no better alternatives for the price.

I've never needed a filler item for an Amex Offer. It counts net price charged. Unelss you have zero tax, you're good.

Yeah, this machine has a single threaded Geekbench score 50% higher than my MacBook Pro 2019 with an i9. The fact you can get a machine with it for $250 is wild and "i3" vs "i5" vs "i7" vs "i9" is meaningless across generations and barely meaningful comparing the same generation.
