SFB for the win.
Essentially, you are giving away (with 100% certainty) your hard-earned $40 for the possibility of having a probability that you might get a lounge pass within a year (assuming you travel by air).
How about they provide lounge passes and if we like what we get, we might consider paying $40 annual fee?

Most delays I experience occur after boarding.
Many US airports don't have priority pass lounges and if they do it could be in a different terminal than the one you depart from.
It's important to be near the departure gate when a flight is delayed as sometimes the delay will be shorter than originally announced.
I'm sure travelzoo knows this benefit won't be widely used.
At EWR, for example, the TravelZoo offer has the Be Relax Spa (Terminal A only), massages and aromatherapy. Water and tea, that is all for food and drinks. Same at Frankfurt, and only in Terminal 1.
At Cleveland Hopkins it is Club CLE, the most minimalistic lounge I have ever seen. Although I have free admission there, I never even go back.
All I am saying is don't expect relaxing food/coffee/drinks at many of the busy airports and their terminals.
If there is one airport you use frequently go to the Travelzoo webpage (link in the OP) and see what is available.
Just a few examples.
