If you want good V2L, most likely Ford Lightening is good.

Can I just buy a normal 200A transfer switch, assuming power loss happens every few months, no daily/weekly?
YMMV. My upright freezer alone uses 2kwh a day.

That's what I am thinking as well but not sure how to hook this up to the main panel
Personally I feel like these are DIY to install but that's up to the buyer and their capabilities.

- my EcoFlow fried, and fortunately it was able to go back to Costco; so, I don't trust the EcoFlow (even current gen) to be my go to 24/7
- couldn't find a great place to put the bulkier EcoFlow compared to the slim Tesla Powerwall (I live in San Francisco where space is a premium and the garage or outdoor spaces are also limited)
- Even if Tesla car could provide electricity, I use the PowerWall 24/7, either charging or actively using every day, so it's not just an emergency or backup system - this is mainly becauseā¦
- Electricity cost is now about $0.30-$0.60/kWh in the San Francisco Bay Area; getting the PowerWall allows me to go to switch to a PG&E electric car plan that gives me ~$0.30/kWh all day, year round, because I can now use electricity any time I want by using grid power during off-peak and Powerwall during peak; this shaves off about 25-35% off my monthly bill compared to any other PG&E rate plan without a Powerwall
- I don't have solar (not worth it at this point with the new Net Metering plans); break even will be about 7 years and maybe faster with anticipated PG&E rate increases
- Out of Pocket cost was about $15k directly from Tesla, and they took care of everything including permitting, install, and inspection - they also did a fairly good job; I received about $4500 back on my federal tax return as a credit and I got a brand new circuit breaker box with more future capacity.
- the Tesla app and integration is great, and I will get back $100-200/year with the Tesla virtual power plant program
This is my specific case but hopefully helpful for some of you to know about if you haven't done the research yet.
Cheers.

The Ioniq 5's V2L system can supply up to 3.6 kW of AC power, which is enough to charge laptops, smartphones, power tools, and camping equipment.
This solution would provide 1/5 of this deal.
