The SSD in this is also faster than the M2. Might not notice it in day to day tasks, but still. For $100 more than the earlier M2 deal, I think the upgrades here and an extra year of software support is worth it (definitely more so than paying $200 for an extra 256gb of onboard storage).

Same here , debated sending back with additional $50 off apple care for total of $100 savings but I've already set this damn thing up. I'll be buying from Best Buy and such from now on and get price matches in future on big ticket electronics.
On my 3rd try I got an amazon rep that said she'd credit my 'method of payment' the $50. I haven't seen it hit yet.... However, if I have to, I'll buy the lower priced one, then just return it as the higher priced one. I can't see anything on any invoice where they're tracking serial number, so I'll keep the one I've already set up and return a new, unopened one.

Gonna pull the trigger tonight but debating on keeping it in the box until after BF/CM in case of another deal. Is Amazon that bad with high $ returns? Rather avoid repackaging fee also.

Correct. I bought mine last week and just had them refund me the difference.

Brought the same for 899$ a week ago. Customer Service declined to refund the difference. What should I do? Any ideas other than return and buy again?

Yes screen, but performance wise I can't find any differences.

What are practical difference between 8 and 10 core gpu? I noticed that Apple sells 10 core gpu for $100 more. When 8gb was the default model, 16gb model used to come with 10 core gpu.

I don't play games, but family member who will be sharing the laptop does use illustrator and photoshop sometimes.

Specs are exactly the same, aside from the 15" having a slightly higher screen pixel count to maintain the same PPI (pixels/inch) as the 13".

The only performance-related difference I cna think of is that the 15" does have a larger heatsink - I have read claims that it can deal with sustained loads slightly better/longer before throttling than the 13", due to the slightly better cooling. That might have some value, but it that's worth $200 to you, then your workload or usecase is such that you should probably get a Macbook Pro instead.
