I do not understand a simple LED work light costing as much as a drill or either tool. How? Why?

Makes no sense and you still need a battery.

A lot of people justify needless consumption by doing it via "deals" websites.

These type of lights are worthless. You can never seem to get the light to point exactly where you need it. The ones with a strong magnet work much better due to their versatility. This is a much better light https://www.homedepot.com/p/Milwa.../314746266

Actually this light has three magnets in the handle. I have one for work. It's over priced but works with my batteries… and turns darker areas into lighter areas.

Looking at the description, this model doesn't appear to have any magnets. In fact I saw where one customer posted a review that stated he added a magnet screwed into where the tripod would attach.

I have this light as well. Very bright and you can light up a huge area. The magnets are a little weak for the weight. You absolutely need a flat metal surface to attach to without risking having it fall.

I'm very happy with my DeWalt light. I have owned it and used it the last 2 years. The handle allows the light to be angled up or down and at least on mine has a screw mount for a pedestal post so you can use this in a traditional spotlight mounted position. There are three light levels and the light last quite a while, which makes sense with LED combined with a five amp power battery that I have. I use it in the attic and in the crawl space and it lights up a good amount of area outside. I don't recall what I paid for it but I'm certain it was a slick deal sale.
