Pros:
Sweet, sweet micro SD support. This should still be the industry standard. There are also plenty of micro SD deals right now to bundle with this feature.
Dual SIM compatible (1 physical SIM & 1 eSIM).
3.5mm headphone jack.
Physical charging via USB-C (Turbo Charging) is pretty fast when hooked up to a compatible charger and cable.
Using a T-Mobile based carrier in the southwest, and haven't had any issues with mobile connectivity or speed.
Battery lasts me most of the day on light to moderate use.
Haven't had any overheating issues, even when using the phone while it's turbo charging.
Bootloader is unlockable, and device isn't hard to root, least for the one that I bought from this same Amazon link. This should also be the industry standard, even if most users won't bother with it.
The system memory manager is pretty good with managing apps, and allowing apps to run in the background if you want. Unlike certain OnePlus devices.
The system rom (OS) is decent. Not as slim as Pixel stock roms, but not nearly as bloated as Samsung stock roms.
Cons:
Wireless charging seems like it was an afterthought, because the camera bump makes it hard to use. I've been trying to find a thin phone case that has a camera cover, and also allows wireless charging. The problem is that the camera bump already creates a gap between a flat surface (like a wireless charger platform) and the wireless charging area on the back of the phone. So adding a phone case usually adds enough extra thickness, that it interferes with wireless charging. The best that I've been able to achieve with a case is wireless slow charging. For comparison, I have some other phones with cases on them, and quick (15W) wireless charging still works fine, because the back of those phones is fairly flat.
It advertises a 50MP back camera, but it's stupidly unintuitive to initially access the 50MP resolution. For those that also struggle with it, open the stock Camera app, and select the "Ultra-Res" mode. This wasn't enabled for me by default. I had to go to the "More" option, download the "Ultra-Res" mode from the list of extra modes, then use that pencil icon in the bottom right to pin the Ultra-Res mode next to my normal mode buttons.
The system does seem to lag a bit when I've gone too long without closing apps/clearing memory. But that's expected given the price.
Minor gripe, but you're probably used to this already if you're familiar with Motorola phones - I haven't found an easy way to reverse the navigation buttons. So the average user is likely stuck with the back button being on the left and the recents button being on the right. I did find a workaround, but it required Magisk, LSposed, and an LSposed module called "AOSPMods". Also, that AOSPMods module is not supposed to support this phone, so mess with that all of that at your own risk.
It's got a whole lot of bloatware, that I doubt is necessary. A lot of these apps were sitting in there, enabled at some system level, even though they weren't visible in the app drawer. Apps for most of the major U.S. carriers, Facebook, among other things. I'd rather download that stuff myself if I want it, rather than it already being built into the system on some level. And I sure as heck never want Facebook installed as a system app on any device.
Motorola has some annoying new user features. Upon first use or after a factory reset, It loves to regularly nag you about all of the different features to try on the phone, even when you've already clicked the notifications and tried them. After about a week, it finally starting shutting up about this, though I might have just finally found the right setting to change. One of the most annoying of these, is a semi-transparent, floating, black circle, with the letter "M" in it. It's some kind of Motorola app, and on every phone newer Motorola phone that I've had, it's quite annoying to get it to go away for good.
It is better than the 2023 model. Have both myself. They are both fine phones. No better phone for $300 or less, imo.

Not a bad phone, but there are always options. Up to the person to acknowledge them or not. The Pixel 9 preorder was one of the best deals of the year.
