Good deal however this is not a washable filter. It is the standard replacement filter that is disposable.

I think the "washable" comes from the fact that they advise you to clean the carbon filter every 3 months in the maintenance section of the manual. You rinse it in room temperature water.

You can get third party filters for half this price. Might be made in the same factories, I doubt this is worth the price. Ymmv.

Thanks for posting! Been waiting for this one to go on sale again. Sold and shipped by Amazon means I can finally use that $15 promo code from the promotion where you add a Discover card into Amazon as payment and use rewards to pay for 1 cent or more of it. Removed that same card months ago from Amazon just to use this one promotion.

A lot of 3rd party filters don't have charcoal pellets which is what makes a huge difference for VOCs like cooking gas toxins & odors and smoke fire toxins. The charcoal dipped foam doesn't work as well

The charcoal part of the filter is washable, but the HEPA filter part is not and needs to be replaced yearly.

Third party filters might be good or they might not. Third party may not filter as well or have chemicals we are unaware of. I want a reliable product I don't have to guess about to clean my air. I'll go with the OEM especially since it lasts 6 months to a year.

If you look at the picture it has two parts. The black filter is the charcoal and the white filter is the HEPA. They are separate.

i needed verbal confirm cuz i couldnt trust those photos as being those 'kinds" which might show what's inside versus not.
