Weird trade-in deal at Best Buy. iPhone 12 64gb is $270 trade-in value vs iPhone 13 128gb @ $235.

At Google store, iPhone 12 is $240 and 13 is $320 for the same.

I have a pixel 8 pro unlocked that I don't use. Should I upgrade that to the regular pixel 9. With the trade in, I think Google gives me store credit since the trade in is more than the price of the new phone

I wouldn't do that, to me it's a downgrade. You should upgrade to pixel 9 pro / pro xl.

Traded a Pixel 7 for a 9. 360 trade in and could also stack 10% with ID.me (nurse). Will end up at 251.08 after trade in. Pretty slick to offload a two year old phone.

You go to mobile area of Bestbuy and explain you want to trade an old device. They can check value in system, then will share if it's worth anything. You'll get a GC. You can trade and recycle electronics.
