Is there a way to check which Walmart stores have an ATT kiosk? I went to a couple in North NJ and none of them have it. I tried calling a few and they don't have either.

Is the list for trade in for Verizon same as AT&T? I don't see much details.
Exactly! We have Verizon and this is not clear at all so it may be best to do their upgrade and trade-in directly with them. There is a promotion right now where they are giving us $830 for trade-in credit for our old iphone 7s and 7 Plus each. You can live chat or go to your account and in the account overview see if any of your phones are eligible for an upgrade. It will take you over a few steps with the option to trade-in. My daughter's iPhone 13 has a $1,000 trade-in credit.

Like you, I was also confused, so I spoke to a Walmart representative yesterday. She said that since it's a Walmart Black Friday Promotion, you will only get the credit stated in Walmart's terms and conditions, not AT&T's terms and conditions regarding the trade-in credits. Also, you need to bring the iPhone to AT&T since Walmart doesn't do the trading process, according to the representative. You may need proof of purchase since it may be required for the promotions.
Interestingly, I called AT&T and they stated the opposite (??). They said all third-party trade-in's (Costco, Walmart, BJs, etc.) use AT&T's trade-in value of $830 and not $700. Apparently, the trade-in value promotion is based on what Apple has offered AT&T. They also said, because we will be trading it in at AT&T, we will get AT&T's larger $830 trade-in.

Someone on reddit seemed to claim the same:

"Walmart does not dictate trade values, they are just the middle man to get the phone ordered and delivered. As long as you are within whatever promotional period is offered by at&t, you are on a qualifying plan, and the device is on installments, then you will get the correct promotion"

Once pay off device is done - how to cancel the line - do i need to call or chat to disconnect?
So - I just did a live chat and the agent able to disconnect the line effective today's night.

Still doubt - When i paid off the device, i received an email that "your device promotional credit has been removed from your account as you paid off the device". I hope its not Walmart GC.

What's the trade in phone requirements for Verizon? Similar to ATT? I only have 13, hope to get 16 pro with the highest credit.
On the Verizon website, if you go to your account and try to upgrade with a trade-in, they are giving $1,000 for an iphone 13

One of the documents under Account->Bill->Documents will have the activation date

*** How to pay off with credit card ***
Establish a Verizon account
Go to Account, Bill, Payment methods
Add a credit card
From a NON Verizon phone, call 800-837-4966
Enter the phone number for the line you want to pay off
Tell the robo attendant "pay off device"
Robo attendant will confirm the payoff amount and if you would like to process on credit card ending in xxxx (what you have on file)
* Say yes, and that's it.
Unfortunately, paying off the device early doesn't work.
Received my 2 iPhone 16 Pro Maxes today and powered one on for the first time.
Established a Verizon Wireless account. Linked it to my regular Verizon FiOS account.
Went to Account -> Bill -> Payment Methods, added a credit card.
Called 800-837-4966 from non-Verizon landline phone, entered the phone number for the line that I wanted to pay off.

Robot: "Do you want to pay off $1,199?" Yes. "Do you want to use the credit card on file?" Yes.
Robot: "Request for payoff could not be processed, would you like to speak to a CSR?"

CSR: why would you buy a Verizon phone and then immediately pay it off? You can't pay it off until at least December 10. (CSR asks a dozen more questions about why I want to pay off the phone and cancel my account and why I wouldn't want to continue to subscribe to a Verizon Welcome Unlimited plan that costs only $91.35/month for just service, including taxes and fees)

Update: Nevermind. It didn't go through the first time because my credit card company denied the $1,199 bill, thinking it was fraud. I tried again with a different card and it went through that time, device now paid off.

If it changes to 4000, can we activate with any sim? How do we unlock if not from Tmobile?

I paid my Verizon device off before activating and see the '4000 - US Reseller Flex' Sim-Lock Status: Locked on sickw. I should have activated & waited since the phone would be used on a MVNO. I checked on VZW and it said the device is locked.

Here's what he is saying
If you disconnect Verizon service before turning ON the phone, the iPhone Unlock policy will change to "4000 US seller flex policy".

I cancelled Verizon service while the phone was in transit. When I check IMEI on SICKW, it shows the Unlock policy is "4000 US seller flex policy"

Note: I did not check the unlock policy before disconnecting the line. So I cannot confirm if it was under Verizon unlock policy prior to service disconnection.
Sim status shows locked. How it will now be unlocked. Do you have any leads?

That message is unrelated to Walmart GC. Got the same message for the previous iPhone 14 deal, which did not come with any Walmart GC. I think the message means - the installment plan is removed since device is fully paid off.

Offcourse the iPhone will be locked. It will lock to the first carrier that it's going to be activated on - so either Verizon (if you don't cancel before turning on) or the first eSIM you are going to use it with.

Please read my posts and several other posts, we are NOT buying an unlocked device. These devices are under US Reseller Flex Unlock Policy, which means they will lock to the first carrier the device is used on. To unlock, we will have to satisfy the requirements of the first carrier - for Verizon, its 60 days. For T-Mobile, its 40 days.
