iPhones are unlocked automatically 60 days after activation (with IMEI and a paid plan). You don't even need to open the box. Simply check sickw.com on day 60 or 61 and the status should show unlocked. You can then setup the phone anywhere, without or with a SIM from different service provider.

Bought this from previous deal.

Used edge with ms shopping which was 15% back last time. Bought 2 and showing $30 back pending on both transactions. It's 12% now and seems the best deal available.

I had chase offers on both freedom unlimited and CSR for 25% back capped at $15. Those both qualified so $45 cb plus standard cb from credit cards combined. I see the chase offers are back on both of those cards for me now; almost tempted to try and buy 2 more.

Received both phones, they will come with SIM card and instructions taped to back of iPhone box. Follow instructions which include going to straight talk activation website and inserting the sim. The silver, or whichever plan you choose, is tied to the sim and you will see a message to that effect when completing activation on the website. Once activated, text UNLOCK to 611611 twice and you will receive a response that lists the unlock date. You only have to pay 1 month of service and the device will unlock 60 days post activation.

I ordered 2 on the same account and got a discount on the 2nd silver plan at $30 instead of $45

REMINDER! DONT BE AN IDIOT LIKE ME! If you get the phone, even though the packaging says Total by Verizon, they're both own by Verizon, and the first website the little booklet tells you to go to register your phone is Total, don't do it. Register on Straight Talk or else you'll have to pay for another month again or deal with their horrible customer service to get your phone back on straight talk and activate the month you paid for. There are no refunds so you'll be screwed. I know its a simple thing but I got too excited and activated my phone on Total without a second thought and it was making me pay for another month since it's another company. I had them switch from Total to straight talk but customer service was bad. They kept wanting me to pay for the month I had already paid for. They kept asking for a plan card that suppsedly came with the phone (it doesn't, when you register the phone on straight talk your plan automatically activates with no extra code). Took me about 5 hours of talking to different people until one person actually helped and fixed it.
Made the same mistake. I didn't pay attention that they have separate instructions for straight talk. Took 2 hours on chat to get it resolved. Hopefully everyone sees this warming.

Did you order both at the same time under one order or ordered them separately back to back under the same account?

Nobody said anything about selling or exporting. One can be visiting the US, and can get this for usage while the person is in the US, after all its a prepaid service. Don't see how that is against the Terms of Use. A person visiting for 1-3 months, may not have US issued credit cards.

Or one can be gifting the phone to their family in the US.
You said-"PSA: Anybody trying to order with a card issued outside the US, it may not go through"
That was the point of my post.

My friend was able to get the discount of $30 for the second plan on his account.

Okay, and the cases that I mentioned above above would need to be done with a credit card issued outside the US right?

Does it come in original Apple packaging? Just curious
Yes it does. Also has a Sim card and instructions attached to the bottom of the box in an envelop.

Text 611611 with this message "UNLOCK"
Thank you for the info! I followed it and got 1/25/2025. I activated my phone on 11/25.

Do I have to do anything to cancel? Or just do not pay for the 2nd month?

If you purchased the initial month with autopay, you will have to turn off autopay. If you didn't take the extra $2.50 discount, you do not need to do anything. It will just expire after 30 days.

If you didn't set up auto-pay, they can't charge you for another month. You could then just wait for the 60 days to pass for your unlock to happen.

This is interesting... I did screw up (didn't read your comment until now) by activating on Total by Verizon, but when I called total support asking for an activation PIN (which, as you correctly observe, is not present for Straight Talk), they took my order number from the e-mail receipt and activated my plan with the original paid amount, no repayment. I texted unlock to 611611 and it responded that the phone will auto-unlock two months from now. Can anyone else confirm a similar situation?
