FYI : Once the phone is ordered with trade-in, the promotion should show up at your TMO Account promotions [t-mobile.com] page within a couple of days.
Limit: For those wondering if there is a maximum number of phone lines per account that can be upgraded through this promo, it seems it's 4 per account (as confirmed by T-Mobile rep).

That's impossible, how can I mail it and have them receive it the next day? They should have an expiration date at least a week or two away, so that I can first receive and activate the new Pixel 9, copy stuff over (if needed), delete all my personal info from the Pixel 6 ("You will remove all Device data and personal information, passwords, security software, or user locks."), then ship it to them and leave time for shipping carrier to get it to them.
So I reluctantly backed out at the final step.
What's next?
Once that cool new device is in your hands, get started on these important next steps.
Trade in your old device
Once your new Pixel 9 Pro ships, you'll have 30 days to send back your current Google GVU6C Pixel 7 5G 128GB White - T-Mobile in good condition to retain your promotional value of $800.00.

2 PM logged into TMo account on desktop and selected Upgrade from my Pixel 7 128Gb (storage and color automatically filled in, only needed to answer about condition), Simple Choice Plan, selected Pixel 9 Pro 256Gb (thought about the Pro XL, but size and battery life of Pro looks pretty good), $800 trade-in value over 24 monthly credits, $200 extra to upgrade to Pro ($8.33/mo for 24 months), no $35 activation fee, free next day (up to 2 days) shipping, $86.25 taxes (only part that needed to be paid to complete transaction for order)
2:15 PM got txt saying order should ship by 12/2, signature required
6 PM credit card went through
8:30 PM label created
11/27
1 AM at UPS
9 AM arrived in my city
9:15 AM out for delivery
2:30 PM delivered with signature required
7 PM txt reminder to send Pixel 7 by 12/26
I received update txt's and emails throughout the whole process. The only stressful part was waiting for UPS, as sometimes they'll just leave a "missed you" note, even though I leave a note outside saying I'm home all day to sign for the package.
I need to backup all my photos and look into SMS Backup & Restore before switching to the Pro. Thank goodness USB OTG works now with the Pixel 7, for the photo backup and restore (I don't have enough space on Google Drive). I'm hoping MMS photos will transfer over, unlike last time, where only the text part came across, which is why I might need an app to do it.
