I'm on simple choice and I qualified. Already traded in two phones. One for a 9 pro xl and one for a regular 9. If you go to the product page and try from there it's gonna keep trying to add a line for the promo. You have to go to the number's profile and select upgrade from there.

How are you guys doing the trade-in (mail-back or store trade-in)? I got the Pixel 9 and they sent the UPS label and padded envelop. The risk of the phone being stolen/broken seems viable using the padded envelop.

Has anyone done a store trade-in where you take your old phone inside a regular corporate store? What do you give them label/phone and the order number?

Been on Samsungs for the last 8 years and have no regrets. Just purchased a S24 FE 256gb for ~$450, and now looking at this and wondering if this is a better phone. The price different isn't material, just looking for something that I can use for the next 3 years for basic browsing and texting, and taking pics. Any advice please?

It's a no brainer deal to go with Pixel 9 Pro XL as it's leaps and bounds better than S24 FE, imo. And, it's around $280 assuming you have a trade-in device compared to $450 for S24 FE. This is one of the best deals of the season for sure!

Moreover, they letting us on Simple Choice plan to upgrade the device for $280 is insane, to say the least. Wink

No, I have both Pixel 9XL ($999) and S23FE ($99) in my hand ...
The CPU performance on Pixel 9 XL only 10% better than S23FE per Antutu.
the sound is not much better, just ok !

lol

What about myriad of other features? Camera is the best selling point for Pixel phones and I bought it solely for that alone. And, you get updates very frequently compared to other devices and much, much, much less bloat compared to Samsung as they have 100s of apps preloaded!

Last but not the least, you are comparing a flagship (Pro 9 XL) with a S23FE device is just sick! Confused

Just want to say thanks to the SD community for this one. Free upgrade from Pixel 6 to Pixel 9 is slick as hell. I didn't see it in this long thread, but right now the $35 activation fee is waived. Awesome.

I kept hitting roadblocks trying this promotion (most of which would not finish the chackout and told me to call). I was finally successful after using a fresh browser and making sure that all local storage was cleared.

I purchased one Pixel 9 Pro XL, chose the Essentials 55+ plan, then repeated the process. The cart showed $48.33 for the first line ($40 line + $8.33 for the phone) for 24 months, and $23.33 for the second ($20 line, $8.33 phone). Offer code was P942.

Total monthly is $71.66. If I tried to trade in 2 Pixel 7s, it would only give a trade in credit of $110 for each phone (and ~800 of "promotional credit" offer P943. I spoke to a "very experienced 10 year T-mobile phone rep who claimed that that's how T-mobile does it and that I would not be able to combine the 2 promos.

Net cost is 24 * 71.66 + $182.50 (a bit of a rude shock but CA charges sales tax on the 'full' price of each phone) so ~$1902. Less $960 for the service (say $20/month per line) less $375 (assumed resale value of 2 Pixel 7s) so about $284 per phone all in.

Not so slicka deal so having second thoughts but I guess I'm stuck with a restocking fee now if I change my mind.

I don't know if there is any way to get more for the trade ins and it's probably too late now Frown

Remember to put the envelope into the shipping box that your phone came in. Add extra packing material.

Don't send the phone with the envelope alone.

Is the yellow padded envelope and label for the trade in or is it to return the new phone if don't like it?

I believe so. T-Mobile makes it kinda confusing. I would call to verify. If you have a trade in go to the T-Mobile corporate store to trade in and not an authorized store.

Just to make sure. You will have to use the card board box they sent you phone with. Put your phone to trade in padded envelope first. Then put that envelope in the cardboard box and seal it with tape they included. Put the UPS label on top of the original label (that has your address on) so it covers the old lable.

And take photos of the phones condition while packaging.last thing you need is them to claim the screen is cracked and you don't have any evidence
