It is beautiful. I picked it up a month ago at this price. It plays and sounds amazing as well. Beats my $120 entry level guitar in every way. I'm glad I bought it.

These mik 5xxx series are fantastic for the money and at this pricepoint are no brainers.

Just a heads up, the blacktop pickups are darker (by filtertron standards) which personaly i prefer

Doesn't matter anymore. Everyone's using the same CNC machines. It's the hardware that counts, and the 5xxx series is a sweet spot with Gretsch models. This guitar should be in the $800 range.

Ok. I broke down and got one. Can't beat this price. I couldn't even find them this cheap used. The Bristol Fog is a cool color and uncommon. Should be here in a few days. Now I need to learn to play.
