Just picked one up yesterday. So far, it's not bad for basic tasks and older/retro gaming.
The 610m gpu is very low end but I only tested CS Zero, Halo 1, COD 1, PES4 and they played fine. I know these are very old games.
Screen is meh - white is too bright and everything seems washed out.
Comes with 512gb SSD and 16gb DDR5 so that is nice.
No backlit keyboard
No USB charging
No fingerprint reader.
I found the fan be somewhat loud but not too screechy.
Keyboard is good with little flex and the trackpad works fine.
Update WIFI driver immediately. Out of the box, max DL is 20Mbps. After updated, I get 200+ speed.
The laptop material feels cheap comparing with similar Lenovo models at the same price point but it's thin and light for a 15.6" laptop.
3lbs 8oz

Probably will give it to my teenage nephew as this is a good laptop for everyday use.

Does this laptop have USB C charging? That would be pretty great at this price.

Be sure to check the cash back sites… one of them is currently offering 6% back for Office Depot which is another $18 off.

I can't find this model number at asus.com. Only one similar to this has a 250nit 45%NTSC screen so probably not IPS:

Not sure about USB C charging or displayport either.

FWIW, this review says this model comes with either OLED or IPS:

If so, then this computer likely has an IPS display. Cheers, and happy holidays.
