T-mobile has a hidden plan for 30GB data a month data plan (you get your own sim and need your own device).

I got a cellular modem for $40: https://www.netgear.com/home/mobile-wifi/lte-modems/lm1200/ [netgear.com] and was able to use it with T-mobile's provided sim card.

Call in or use their online chat to inquire about the "Basic Mobile Internet 30GB plan (SOC: MI30TE or MI30TI)". It is $15/mo but you get a $5/mo discount by using autopay.

If you can't repro then you suck. This also provides you with a phone number for the data account and you get access to t-mobile tuesdays despite it only being a data plan Smilie

Lol, the plan is clearly indicating that autopay discount doesn't apply...
It is $15 for year here already, it is still $15
I have the plan for more than 10 months. Have been paying $10/months, tax included. Autopay discount only apply if you set up with bank account or a debit card. It doesn't apply if you use a "credit card".

It provides false information.
The autopay discount doesn't apply for the plan..
Autopay discount apply to only if set up the autopsy with bank account or debit card. It's stated very clearly if you log into your account.

You may have other plan, not this one!
This basic Internet plan with 30GB data barely for less than a year, you claim you had this for a year.
Read the description, no Autopay discount clearly states the the plan description
This is a repost. There is another post last year. You clear didn't see it. Someone actually mentioned it in the first page.

Does anybody know if this would work in an RV if I'm camping under a cell tower or is it only for a fixed location /address? Maybe a stupid question but I'd like to know if anybody knows that before I spend the money or start the process
Not limit to a fixed location/address. I traveled with it to different states. You just need TM service in the area to use it.

A friend of mine 18 miles away from me has Tmobile internet but my address is not eligible, weird
Why is it weird? It takes many cell towers to cover 18 miles.

30gb doesn't last for 12 hours by just watching ads.
Well, that means you need a different plan. Sorry you can't benefit from this deal.

I had a similar use case, 7 security cameras for an apartment building, just so I could check up on things... I went with a 750kbps/unlimilted ($89 for a year) IOT sim card, Netgear LM1200 for 4g modem ($30) and 2x Linksys ln1301 ($30 for two from woot a couple months ago) routers in mesh. I used reolink cameras that store video locally. Works well enough enough for streaming the cameras one at a time. Recorded video doesn't stream fast enough for smooth viewing but all things considered, it works well for me...

$31 more per year and a cheap Inseego M3000 hotspot and you'd be able to stream high quality video and download it remotely too...

I got this plan a year or two ago and used it in the trial 4g hotspot device that T-Mobile sends for test drive, I'm not sure if they still send the device.

Got the deal online via chat. Rep offered a 2nd sim with 30gb hotspot for just $5 per month. Couldn't resist. Got activation fee waived on both sims.
And someone kept saying autopay doesn't apply earlier. Glad you got both lines for $15 after autopay. I couldn't resist for $5 2nd line either.

Decided to get this.

Used chat on tmo website. Agent was able to duplicate. Required hard credit pull. Got instantly approved. Used my credit card and got the $5 auto-pay credit (but will check the first bill to ensure it stays $10 and doesn't go up to $15.
Agent did 2 day shipping for sim card. All-in-all, process took about 10 minutes. Planning on surfing this card into a hotspot device I found for $2 at a thrift.

What's the best mobile device I can buy to use this for my Tesla or iPad while going out and about?

Could I get this deal and use an old Pixel 3 instead of buying a mobile hotspot?
