T-mobile has a hidden plan for 30GB data a month data plan (you get your own sim and need your own device).

I got a cellular modem for $40: https://www.netgear.com/home/mobile-wifi/lte-modems/lm1200/ [netgear.com] and was able to use it with T-mobile's provided sim card.

Call in or use their online chat to inquire about the "Basic Mobile Internet 30GB plan (SOC: MI30TE or MI30TI)". It is $15/mo but you get a $5/mo discount by using autopay.

If you can't repro then you suck. This also provides you with a phone number for the data account and you get access to t-mobile tuesdays despite it only being a data plan Smilie

This seems like a much better option for $10. You get a modem along with it.

Can anyone chime in on why this isn't the better route?
Terms for that plan are, "For use only with T-Mobile Gateway for in-home use at location provided at activation."

The deal in this thread is for mobile internet that you plug into a hotspot on the go. Im using mine as an esim as secondary phone data

Try again with another agent -- I signed up with this at Costco last year, and all I did was provide them the SOC code to pull up this specific plan (they weren't aware of it).

The SOC code is MI30TI
(mobile internet 30gb tax included)

It's meant to be used for a hotspot, but let them know you have one on order. Once you get the sim, you can pop if into any phone or hotspot device.

I just converted it to an esim for my s23u with the help of tforce on Facebook Messenger and the rest is history.
Thanks. I did send that code to the agent via chat w/o success. She called me and kept pushing me to $20/month after autopay so I gave up. I don't mind $10 for backup to my spectrum but $20 a bit stiff for backup. I will trymdifferent agent per ur advice. Thanks

What's the best mobile device I can buy to use this for my Tesla or iPad while going out and about?
Why not set up automation for your phone to auto-enable hotspot when BT pairs with car?

I had this plan and it was utter garbage. it has the lowest priority vs other plans. The infimobile deal is better at $99 a year and priority data.
Hi
I would like to know about it. Seem can't find on their website

It will. Just tell the rep you plan to use it like a tablet. I activated a s24 ultra on this Saturday. I plan to use it in conjunction with a tracfone sim I have paid through 2036 for voice service.

I called costco as a member to have activation fees waived. The rep had me fill out a $150 costco gift card tmobile rebate form also, but i doubt this would qualify.
Did your Tracfone service require providing SSN?

Could not replicate. Spoke to agent and plan offered was for $20 per month after autopay and device had to be tablet or ipad
Call back and get a different agent. Many mention using chat.

$10 if you have an existing TM voice plan. I use this 30 GB plan as designed (hotspot) in my car.

Perfect timing. Just hit my 5gb limit and the throttling was killing any data stream. Not sure how i missed this but took about 4 minutes once i chatted with an actual rep (hold time was 18 minutes)

Would like to know too, does anyone know or can confirm this?
No, does not need existing service. This can be a primary or only line of service with them. If you have a T-Mobile kiosk at your local Costco, do there for free activation.

What number do I call

Oh good q. I did it at a kiosk in costco. but i think other kiosks, sams club etc, would work per my reading.

Was able to get two lines for my Jaguar and my Thinkpad to work. Took me almost an hour with a rep to get me those lines.
Interested to put in my Range Rover. Was it hard to setup?

Does it work in Canada?
I have this plan from a previous year and it does not work in Canada. The business tablet plan will work in Canada though.

Put it in and reboot whatever you shoved it in.
