T-mobile has a hidden plan for 30GB data a month data plan (you get your own sim and need your own device).
I got a cellular modem for $40:
https://www.netgear.com/home/mobile-wifi/lte-modems/lm1200/ [netgear.com] and was able to use it with T-mobile's provided sim card.
Call in or use their online chat to inquire about the "Basic Mobile Internet 30GB plan (SOC: MI30TE or MI30TI)". It is $15/mo but you get a $5/mo discount by using autopay.
If you can't repro then you suck. This also provides you with a phone number for the data account and you get access to t-mobile tuesdays despite it only being a data plan

Can anyone chime in on why this isn't the better route?
Terms for that plan are, "For use only with T-Mobile Gateway for in-home use at location provided at activation."
The deal in this thread is for mobile internet that you plug into a hotspot on the go. Im using mine as an esim as secondary phone data
The SOC code is MI30TI
(mobile internet 30gb tax included)
It's meant to be used for a hotspot, but let them know you have one on order. Once you get the sim, you can pop if into any phone or hotspot device.
I just converted it to an esim for my s23u with the help of tforce on Facebook Messenger and the rest is history.
Yes, I exactly use this as you said.
Hi
I would like to know about it. Seem can't find on their website
I called costco as a member to have activation fees waived. The rep had me fill out a $150 costco gift card tmobile rebate form also, but i doubt this would qualify.

No, does not need existing service. This can be a primary or only line of service with them. If you have a T-Mobile kiosk at your local Costco, do there for free activation.
Oh good q. I did it at a kiosk in costco. but i think other kiosks, sams club etc, would work per my reading.
Interested to put in my Range Rover. Was it hard to setup?
I have this plan from a previous year and it does not work in Canada. The business tablet plan will work in Canada though.

Put it in and reboot whatever you shoved it in.
