T-mobile has a hidden plan for 30GB data a month data plan (you get your own sim and need your own device).

I got a cellular modem for $40: https://www.netgear.com/home/mobile-wifi/lte-modems/lm1200/ [netgear.com] and was able to use it with T-mobile's provided sim card.

Call in or use their online chat to inquire about the "Basic Mobile Internet 30GB plan (SOC: MI30TE or MI30TI)". It is $15/mo but you get a $5/mo discount by using autopay.

If you can't repro then you suck. This also provides you with a phone number for the data account and you get access to t-mobile tuesdays despite it only being a data plan Smilie

I had their unlimited internet (via wireless modem) for 60/mo. Overall, the service was good - I had great speeds (for me) ~50MB/s. The reason why I cancelled it is: My bluetooth headset would not work, when modem's wifi was on... I got tired and cancelled the entire service because of that. Never, ever would I have ever fantasized that TMbbile's wifi would knock out Bluetooth. I suppose same/similar channel...

I'm set up with esim, yes, it works -- you may get some resistance from support who may tell you it's only meant for hotspot devices.

Do they need a credit check?
Honestly, not sure -- I signed up for this plan as a newcomer to the U.S.
I haven't yet pulled a report to check if they did a hard check.

I bought this. I was on Google Fi and had an extra data only sim for my laptop 5G. I just switched to visible plus, so I ordered this for my laptop. We'll see if there is any catch. Supposedly $10 / Mo with autopay, and they waived the activation fee. Maybe some taxes and fees? Anyone know how much? I don't know how long I'll keep it, but it might be nice to not have to rely on the 10 Mbps hotspot on visible.

At Costco today, I asked about this deal. I currently have 5 lines on Magenta Max.

The rep checked, and said he could offer me: 40 GB/Month for $15/ month, with $5/month discount for autopay for total of $10/month. Additional offer of $25 Costco Gift card

He also offered a Buy One, get half off: the deal was TWO separate hotspot lines, each with 40GB/month, for a total of $15/month with autopay for both lines Each line also came with $25 Costco Gift card for total of $50 cash card.

I took the two line deal.

Separately, I tried to upgrade my Pixel 7 to Pixel 10 Pro, but rep told me he couldn't match the online deal directly from T-Mobile.com and told me I was better off doing that upgrade online.

This plan works perfect with gl-inet mudi portable 5g router. Been using this setup since last year. Great for road trip and working remote outdoor where I don't want to use public WiFi.
Do you know the model number you use for the 5G GL inet router?

I think business plan would make more sense since it has international roaming. Is ZB10HSTI right soc code for $10 business plan with auto pay?
Also can you buy this plan at Costco or via chat?

T-Mobile has a home Internet backup plan for $10 ($20 without voice line) a month that includes 130gb of data. Seems like a better use of anyone is planning to use this at one location.
Does a simple choice plan qualify?

Any idea what the plan code is if I chat with them?
