T-mobile has a hidden plan for 30GB data a month data plan (you get your own sim and need your own device).

I got a cellular modem for $40: https://www.netgear.com/home/mobile-wifi/lte-modems/lm1200/ [netgear.com] and was able to use it with T-mobile's provided sim card.

Call in or use their online chat to inquire about the "Basic Mobile Internet 30GB plan (SOC: MI30TE or MI30TI)". It is $15/mo but you get a $5/mo discount by using autopay.

If you can't repro then you suck. This also provides you with a phone number for the data account and you get access to t-mobile tuesdays despite it only being a data plan Smilie

I would love to have this plan.
Not available for either place.
We only spend every other weekend at the other place so I'm too cheap to get full wifi.
I think I will go with this route with the 30gb. It should be enough for me.
I just need connection full time cause I want my security camera and other smart things I can monitor while away.
Yeah. the hotspot option is still great for you. I was going to get the hotspot plan but the backup plan has 4x more data quota for the same price with my voice plan ($10/mo if I use debit autopay; my old legacy Simple Choice plan has no autopay discount so I use my credit card for autopay for 5% CB so it won't make a difference if I switch to using debit autopay since I'll lose my 5% CB then and my bill is over $100).

This thread is huge.

2 questions.

1. Does this deal from Costco work on legacy plans?

2. Will this work for a SyncUp Drive device?

I have more than 8 phone lines with Tmo and so, I'm already maxed out with the Autopay discount; total max with Autopay discount is $40 (5 x 8).

Anyway two additional hotspots with this promotion be $15 for first hotspot and the 2nd one will be $7.50. Hence $22.59 total for two hotspots.

Hmmm, the million question is that, do I really need the hotspots? Besides, my phone plan already comes with 40GB of hotspot data each month.

I've just skimmed the last few pages looking for an answer to this also but didn't see anything.

What's the number to call to get this deal? Also do you have to have an account with T-Mobile?

i got the mobile hotspot 30gb plan back in April at a local Costco that had a T-Mobile booth. the said it would qualify for 2x $25 Costco giftcards but because we are secondary card holders, I'm not sure if the cards were mailed to the original account address or not.
it was $15 + $5 for second line. then with autopsy discount it was $15 for two lines.
about 3 or 4 months later for whatever reason the cost changed to $17 a month and the 2nd sim card's plan got changed to something basic like 500mb of data or something like that. I've been lazy to call to ask about the change but recently just traveled to Canada and there is no data roaming at all. so I'm going to call to cancel that 2nd line soon.
question for the business tablet plan holders or anyone who recent go it. is the business tablet plan still available for $10? or is it $15 with autopay?

MWR500 - smart watch standalone plan, 1 for $7/mo or 2 for $10.50 per month
MI30TI - the Hotspot plan associated with this thread, 1 for $10/mo, or 2 for $15/mo
These are consumer plans.
Agent confirmed that buy 1 get 1 50% off is not for cell phone plans. They said the monthly rate is permanent if both lines stay open. Otherwise, they switch to the normal rate.
Every line you open qualifies for $25 back from Costco. $0 down (they waved all shipping and activation fees), no contract, but a soft credit check is required. They do take your credit card number because you are required to set up autopay to get that monthly rate.
Where can I get this deal for MWR500? I was told by tforce, this plan is not eligible.

I've seen "deals" with almost no TU, no comments, and almost no views go FP a few minutes after posting. Odd.

Yup until we die. T-Mobile hasn't thrown us legacy subscribers a phone deal bone for a long time until this BF, I upgraded 2 of my lines with free Pixel 9 (turned in an old S21 and an old Pixel 7).
