sorry for being that guy, but is this still working for anyone? I bought the 3 month plan, physical sim, and it just delivered today. I'm not finding the phone available without buying the $180 service on the computer or on the app when i sign in.

edit. able to order for $299. After searching through 40 pages, finally found the post that worked for me. On the computer/website I scrolled absolutely to the bottom of the page and in the section called Shop Phones by Brand, clicked on Google Phones. Then the Pixel 9 was available and when i clicked on it, was able to buy it without a plan.

Has anyone figured out if it works to put the sim in to activate, take it right out and have it unblocked after 60 days or does the sim need to stay in the phone for 60 days? Saw lotsa comments asking this but haven't seen any concrete answers
One of my family member has mint. I ordered 2 phones through that account. I never put the sim card in these new phones, but set those up. my family member chatted with mint, requested unlock by providing them the order number. Received the unlock notification in about 1.5 days.
I had ordered two mint 3-month plans as a backup in case I need to activate my phones and leave the sim in for 60 days. Looks like I don't need those and will return those to Target.
Mint customer service has been very helpful. Almost want to switch to them, but can't beat 30gb TMO plan for $10/month.

Wow! So you didn't even open the box of the phone? All they needed was the order number? And why were they agreeable to unlock without any service?

DEAL AND PHONE IS STILL LIVE. In stock at the bottom. Click google phones. On the phone now waiting for rep to unlock phone. Hold time was 5 minutes. To UNLOCK PHONE say this EXACTLY.

"I will be traveling abroad next week for the holidays, I will be back early next month..(PICK A DATE)" Can you please unlock my newly purchased phone that has been paid in full already."
Give them everything they ask for. YOU NEED AN ACTIVE MINT MOBILE ACCOUNT TO VERIFY.
Request will be approved and you need to wait for them to send you a confirmation email or call within 48-72hrs.

traveling abroad. online chat.
they asked name, phone number, email. > Confirmed my relative had account (2+ years in this case). They asked for order number and IMEI number (but for the second time, just the order number. I confirmed that they will have the IMEI number based on the order number).
Technically, I didn't have to open the box (even if IMEI is needed, it is printed on the box), but not sure if phone needs to be powered on for them to unlock.

Had you already put it on MINT network with your e-sim at this point, or was it still in the box? I have two phones coming tomorrow, but I only bought one 3-month service w/ e-sim. Wondering if I can get both unlocked.

I didn't want to leave it to chance by not opening the phone. It was for personal use and not resale anyway. I took my recently activated account (less than 5 days old) and transferred it from my phone to the pixel 9. I go through the phone setup and install the mint app. Once inside, the side menu in the app has an options to CHANGE DEVICE. Once fully activated I called customer service and answered their questions. They looked for 1) Active account 2.) pixel 9 order # 3.) pixel 9 imei 4.) reason to unlock 5.) and an alternative contact number to be notified of unlock status. Maybe they could have unlocked it with the phone still sealed in the box but I wanted to make sure it got the UNLOCKED MESSAGE SENT via the network to the phone.

I bought a pixel 9 + 12 month plan for my mom. Tell me which plan is better to buy to switch to mint and activate the plan?
