Is 30ms quick enough for router/modem and fridge?
Definitely fast enough for a fridge. I have a UPS/surge on my other gear so it ends up being fast enough for them as well though in most cases I find it switched over fast enough to keep the uniFi gear running in standalone testing.

What's the use case for these big power stations? Are these for camping?
Camping, portable workshops and short term redundant power for critical loads.

Great question. You can use them for camping, but think about your power uses/needs. I would always suggest people at least have some type of backup power for electronics (phones, computers, lights, etc) for emergency situations.
Do you have medical devices that need power in the event of an outage? CPAP, automatic insulin pump, oxygen generator? Do you have electric well water service for your home? Electric stove? You most likely want some type of power backup for those. If you have the basics covered, you can move to supporting your "creature comforts" in outages such as coffee machines, entertainment devices, etc.
Camping is what I consider a "trial run" for what you need in a services outage situation. It provides a nice opportunity to test your setups and prioritize what you need in less-than-ideal situations (power outage, water service outage, etc) while being away for a limited amount of time. Unless you are deep woods camping, you most likely will be close to grocery stores, gas stations, etc. in case you forget something or discover you need something.
Coupled with a power station like this, you also want a way to recharge it. Solar is popular since it's quiet, relatively cheap, infinite on sunny days, and can be used anywhere. There was a deal a few days ago for 400w of folding solar panels for $134 that I jumped on. In a pinch, you can also use your car's 12V port (cigarette lighter) to charge it, especially while you are driving. It's good to have backups and options.

I am from the future and YES there is a better deal, and the sox win the next World Series. A meteor hits Toronto. Aliens visit San Francisco but accidentally land in the tenderloin, so they leave immediately. You have 7 extra large grandsons that work the algae farm better than anyone after The Collapse. That's all I wrote down sorry.

I had this at $430 last year, looks like they are finishing out phasing these.

Does the battery have an app? How is the app experience? Does it let you set max charge level to keep it at 80%?
Ecoflow delta 2 does have a decent app. And yes, you can set Max charge and charge rate and other settings.

Including on/off beep and turning on/off ports and controlling solar charge input. It also controls firmware updates

Contemplating between this and the river max - dollar/kw this is a better deal, but I need it for my modem etc and it sits in my living room.

Worried about the fan sound. Did they ever fix that via firmware,

Anyone know if this inverter allows the ground and neutral to be bonded? I.e. can I connect to a house generator inlet?

You can charge one from another one, but not efficiently. That's what the extra batteries are for.

The river 3 series are really quiet, older rivers will be louder. Delta 2 is fairly quiet depending on load though.

1 input of 500w. Max 15 amps, max 60 volts. That being said, I have some used house panels leaning against my garage that are 390watts , 48 volts, and 9.97 amps each, wired in parallel and haven't had any issues. 780 watts, 48 volts, 19.94 amps. Just don't go over voltage.
I need to look into this more and decide what to get as I'm debating between something cheaper like the house panels which seem like a really good deal for 400w @$130ish vs the portable 200 or 400 watt panels that are closer to $300/500...

Go on Facebook marketplace. Used ones are all over the place. I got these 390 watt panels for 90 each.

Don't wait too long to decide on the ecoflow. They are blowing them out for a reason.
