I have one of these. It works well but uses power and the "Powerload" on mine doesn't work.

This things suck, I same version but aluminum folding pole. The battery barely lasts like 12-15 minutes, I regret not buying a gas powered one. Batteries are very expensive too, and customer support did not help at all with concern.

The Ego deals are incredibly disappointing this year. I really wanted to pick up an Ego trimmer this Black Friday, but they are barely on sale so I think I am going to pass and just see if something better comes along.

Agreed. I even went to lowes, and there were no good deals on the trimmer or mowers.I ended up buying the trimmer at $199 as I need it now. It's not a great deal but needed it.

Have one of these, hate it, wouldn't buy again. The straight shaft is awful to work with, edging sucks with it. Unless you have the 5ah battery, you'll burn through a 2.5 even on a small property.

When my Ego push mower and trimmer die, I can't wait to go back to gas.

try use a smaller size string, e.g. ego suggested to use .095 and i got issue with mine after several used. Then Ego want me to take to local shop they found out i have to use a smaller size like .080, since then i got no more issue. Something wrong with the manufacture part against the manual but Ego doesn't acknowledge it. Anyways try use a smaller size it work out well

This is the one to get folks! It has autoload but no autofeed. You don't want auto-feed.
