I ordered these last time they hit front page. Run true to size, they are SUPER comfortable, but I can't speak on any hiking or traction talk because I have a bad knee.

When I say comfortable, I put all my other shoes (including my Nike Air's) away after putting these on and haven't looked back.

And when I say a bad knee, I mean it's getting replaced in three weeks bad.

I hiked a 14,000 ft peak. Trail was mostly dry and the shoes worked great. Muddy or snowy spots were just fine too - just needed to step carefully. No slippage. For more snow, you will need studs.

If you use code MERRYMAKERS, you get $20 off compared to $15. The code is on their website and I used it to order my pair.No free shipping until you reach $75 though.
the LUTONPROMO code gives you $15 plus free shipping so i think it's likely to total out to more of a discount than $20

12.5 Wide in a Merrell fits me perfect.Anyone know how these compare size wise?I see a fair number of complaints about width not being wide eoughI dont see a size 12.5 so I would have to go straight 12 or 13
As someone stated before, it's mostly true to size but the toe box is too narrow for my liking. I gather that's probably where the complains about it not being wide enough come from. It kind of shapes like a football where it is widest at midfoot (arch area) and it gets narrow at the toe box. I guess it's good for people with flat feet.

This. I recently got a few pairs of Wolverine boots, all wide sizes and while they fit my feet the toe box was indeed small and uncomfortable. My toes kinda hurt after a while and I find myself walking with my feet further back into the heel of the boots.

I bought 3 pairs, total was $87 and some change with tax. I used their 30% off one and there was extra 10% off (it said click here).

You need to invest into wide toe shoes and boots. I converted to wide toe barefoot shoes recently, and it has been great. No more bunion pain. I have wide feet with bunions.

These are also sold at Walmart. People complain the soles are slippery.
Exactly same?

Does anybody know how it compares to Eddie Bauer's hiking shoes from Sam's Club?

Do these fit more like a sneaker (size 11) adidas or Nike or a boot (10.5) haix/ timberland Strangely enough I picked up a pair of 1000 miles and dropped down to a 10. So I don't know which size to go with.
