No, I've always used eneloop and tried these, hardly hold a charge. Eneloops by far are better.

Agreed. I bought a bunch of these late summer for fake candles. They need to be charged before using or they are noticably dimmer than the others (tenergy, power owl, eneloop.) They have decent life after that so... I didn't know what that means. Bigger voltage drop off? Might be fine in some applications given this price point, but I won't be buying today ...

now I get them from best buy but it is expensive

I came here just to see if by chance anyone else got a bad batch of these recently. I was not expecting a bunch of people who also think these are junk. You really have to look out for capacity because they're already at a low 1.2v to begin with and won't even work in sensitive electronics. Sensitive aka even some of my kids toys.

Can go pick them up or free shipping on $300+. This isn't a sale, the batteries are always priced that.

The best part of this deal is that it'll only cost you $12 to learn that you should never buy Amazon rechargeables.

I mean, they work, but 2 years in I have 5 of the dozen that still hold a charge, but those 5 do work pretty well.

There's a middle ground too between eneloops and bottom of the barrel ones. Stuff like the tenergy centuras isn't too bad for the price. You can get 8x AA plus 8x AAA for $16 right now.

They may not last 10 to 20 years like eneloops but after 4-5 years the tenergy centuras I bought still hold around 75-80% of original max capacity. With the cheapest ones they often end up complete dead after 2-3 years.

These are terribad, would not recommend. They've been crap since the manufacturing switched from Japan to China. If you want to power kids' toys then fine. I stick to Tenergy rechargables

Amazon ones are not great. Maybe OK for things like remotes and whatnot

I would never rely on these for emergencies. I have found they inconsistently hold a charge. Some are OK, others deplete. They're just not reliable. And trying to get Amazon to honor their own warranties is like pulling teeth

I bought these a week ago, but I haven't opened them yet. Considering returning them based on the comments here. I also find it a bit concerning that amazon is offering rechargable batteries with subscribe and save. That's a great option for their standard batteries, but rechargeables....

The High Capacity version of these are good. This version I have relegated to using in remotes and such because they are considerably shorter capacity and are really only for low draw use cases.

Skip the Amazon basics brand batteries. They're some of the worst I've tried. If you're intent on buying from Amazon though, my favorites are by PowerOwl with EBL brand being my second favorite.

Agreed, the Amazon Basics worked great for me. I must be lucky with the three separate batches of AAA and AA rechargeables that I bought. My eneloops work great but they have a lower capacity then my Amazons so I use the eneloops on my remotes and low drain devices. The Amazon rechargeables go in my flashlights, wireless keyboard, toys, and other non-critical equipment that I want to last longer. In my smoke detectors and more critical devices, I use Duracell.

For most products I read the reviews on there are good and bad. To each their own. Buy or don't buy, your choice. Good luck!
