12 pack AAA also not bad at $10.12+tax with 5% S&S. Tenergy AAA 12 pack generally sells for about $12.99.

I subscribed, but am now 2nd guessing it. they are 2000mAh as opposed to the "high capacity" ones. the high capacity ones are 2400mAh and are $34 for 24 AAs.

Just as a heads up, these use to be eneloop rebrands or at least very similar quality and were labeled as made in Japan. I've bought many over the last few years but the ones I received earlier this week are branded made in China. I haven't done any testing on these but my experience with other made in China rechargeables isn't good.

ah interesting observation Big Grin

not to say your logic is wrong ... just know that we are buying capacity to store energy not actual energy, so it all depends on if you need that extra capacity and if that extra capacity is worth the extra cost... its almost as if we are buying 1 16tb hd vs 2 8tb hd... it all depends on whether you need to RAID it or not... also, durability-wise its always better to have multiple than to have single. Smilie

Not the guy you are replying to but I dont think you can compare it to HDD capacity.

Battery capacity is really just run time and how often you wanna swap and recharge it.

For something as low drain as a mouse or tv remote it probably wont matter a whole lot. For something like a remote control car, then you want higher capacity cells

It's a trade off. The 2000s have lower self discharge. The 2400s only maintain 70% charge if not used for 6 months while the 2000s maintain up to 80% charge if not used for 24 months. If your use case is high drain like cameras, controllers and toys the 2400s are better. The 2000s are better for low drain like remotes or things that you would rarely use.

This is a good inexpensive charger. Panasonic BQ-CC17 for $18 that comes with 4 AA eneloops. This charger without the eneloops is almost the same price, so you might as well get free eneloops. This has individual charging which is very important but it does not have the advanced features of the $40+ chargers.
