So put a monitor in a suitcase and it becomes 5x more expensive. Gotcha!

In their defense it has a 3 hour battery and some wireless software integration so it's not purely a markup for the calming beige suitcase.

I imagine some salespeople have a use case for it when they have to demonstrate software in remote locations.

If the price was $250 it'd be a fun toy worth considering.

Just buy a portable monitor, power bank, and Pelican case. With that said, you'll win over any new hire for your company when you break something like this out to discuss compensation.

Played around with one at Best Buy and thought it was super cool, absurdly expensive, but super cool. I can think of plenty of uses for it and I like that it's not just a monitor, but that price is a major turn off.

All 27" portable monitor are in this price range or higher. They are aim at business use case tho. Not personal one

If you're going to spend this much, you might as well get a Galaxy Tab/iPad depending on your OS and use their secondary display functionality.
When did Apple or Samsung started making 27" tablet?

Yeah, I can see this being awesome for salespeople or anybody that does in-home quotes. Like a roofer who comes and take pictures of your roof (with a drone maybe), then comes inside with this to display the photos, a sales deck and then discuss your price quote? Very professional presentation that will help close sales on the spot. If this helps you convert a single customer who would otherwise have to "think about it", it's paid for itself

I gave up buying this after seeing reviews.
Pros:
1. Super durable - the case doesn't get dent even by hammer
2. Battery hours - in the test it actually lasted 3 and half hours.
Cons:
1. Heavy - 28lbs is not what the "portable" you think
2. FHD - seriously?
3. The space - ironically, the case means you need more than 27' space to out this.
FHD is probably for battery life.

That price just doesn't seem right for a 1080p screen. Just get one of those cheap small 15" screens if you need extra screen space on the go. It'll be much more travel friendly too. If this was some proart display for people doing editing work on location, I can see a use case.

There is no 27 inch tablet. I see the value of this like some said but then again...

Dang. I got excited thinking it was the Standbyme with stand. I see zero case where the suitcase is better than a tablet.

Yes, works great for me in the immediate vicinity of Orodruin, the darkest place in Mordor. Anywhere else, not so much... and even my old eyes need at least 1440p on such a large screen!
