You've got to use the code within 90 days, if you're buying more than one, it's because you have more than one line to use them on.
You'll receive 12GB on our GSMA network, and 8GB on GSMT and CDMA.
I think so. The price just reduced from its original price a few minutes ago. During BF 2023, it was on sale for $190.

It was $195 a few months ago and it was a FP deal. I was expecting around $180 for BF. But it appears not.

I have used Red Pocket GSMT for over 5 years and am planning to get two renewal kits.

Infimobile is not an AT&T MVNO. Verizon or T-mobile only. For some, that's not a big deal. For others, it is. The Red Pocket deal is for their GSMA (AT&T) service, so it's not quite apples to apples.

Nevertheless, your point it taken. Their plans do not offer hotspot, although you can pay an extra $5/month ($60/yr) for 5GB. The 10GB plan, paid up front for 12 months, with hotspot, is $159/year all-in (taxes, if applicable, notwithstanding). So.

RP = ATT = 12GB data, 5GB hotspot (subject to confirmation), $200/yr
IM = Verizon/TMo = 10GB data, 5GB hotspot, $159/yr

If one does not need those last 2 GB and don't mind the coverage difference between networks, the ~20% savings is noteworthy. If one DOES need the full 12GB, then you're looking at stepping up to IM's 15GB plan, and the cost is higher than Red Pocket.

Thanks for sharing.
I thought Infimobile (IM) is $99 for the year. With only 10GB/mo, no point paying extra for the hotspot feature. I am strongly considering switching from RP to IM, but am hesitating because of some of the bad reviews out there. But price wise, their plan is attractive.

It's $99 for their Black Friday sale, but after one year it goes back to the regular price of $252 per 12 months right?

Then you have to switch again?

I'm thinking of switching to Infimobile instead of Red Pocket but it might not be worth the hassle to switch again after one year, whereas with Red Pocket I can just get the Black Friday deal every year.

I read somewhere (SD or Reddit) that the BF prices apply to existing IF customers, but not sure how widespread is that practice given that IF itself is only less than a couple years old.

Hmmm.... interesting about new the hotspot limits. Been with RP for as long as I can remember, and for all this time all of my available data has been able to be used from my phone as a hotspot. I'm on the 5GB plan now, and until reading this years' thread this is the first time I've been concerned about losing the ability to use my phone as a hotspot.... I've rarely come anywhere close to consuming those 5GB.

I can see on the RP website that the only plans that include ANY hotspot capability are those at the $300-level and up. But the RP ebay listings make no mention about hotspotting at all - either for or against.

I know that RP responds to these posts (thanks for engaging, by the way - absolutley appreciated!) Can you clarify, specifically, which eBay plans include hotspotting and which do not? And for those that do, is ALL of the data available or only a specific number of GBs?

200MB for $45/year
500MB for $60/year
5GB for $180/year
12GB for $200/year (Black Friday Pricing)
25GB for $360/year

Which of these include hotspotting, and what is the hotspot data limit for each that does?
Weird to quote myself - I know - but rereading this thread, the edited OP, and ALL the fine print on the eBay listing, and I'm increasingly convinced that there is NO hotspot capability included with this offer.

Not 5GB, certainly not 12GB. ZERO GB of data using your phone as a temporary hotspot.

If so, I'm done. Been a RP customer for years and years, but without the ability to use the data I'm paying for in case of an emergency - there are other options through other providers that can do this for the same price or less.

I hope I'm wrong, but I guess the ball is in RP's court to show me where the existence of hotspot data is disclosed.

Hot spot works, I use this plan and it'll work if you set your APN right.

In the past, I've had to call CS to enable hotspot. The issue is that going forward, since last month when RP reconfigured their web plans, whether their ebay plans have also changed. Now, only two of their web plans include hotspot and it's limited, too.

Infimobile has had their $99 offer for several months, so it's not just for BF but they are promoting now of course. It does say limited time, but who knows. Also, you just never know what offers will be out there a year from now.

As I mentioned earlier, my experience with Infimobile this past 6 months has been very good. I like their account web interface, which allows managing multiple lines in one account. They have an easy to find "Port Out" link as well.

Ok thanks for clearing that up, I didn't have to do that or wasn't aware of any change up about reconfiguring web plans. I've always just bought these eBay plans and punched in the pin at the right time - I had to adjust my apn for hotspot and it just worked for me.

What I'm wondering is if they'll bring back their $120 5 or 8 gig plan. My wife barely uses any data and that was a fine plan for her - I'm trying to figure out if I should wait for that or go with another provider since the trend seems to point to a big fat no with that plan...

Which network are you referring to? It looks like it's still on their ebay store. The BIG question is whether they still include hotspot since most of their web plans no longer do. Especially since redpocketcs has not responded. The silence hints at the answer, imo. It's a big risk to spend $200 and not get the hotspot you're expecting.

Bingo! I've been using hotspot on my 5GB Red Pocket phone for years. The question is not whether current/past plans include this... the question is whether the new plans turn this feature off. I've always bought from the eBay store - none of those plans mention ANY hotspot capability. The only plans that explicitly state "hotspot" are two of the web plans, and both are fairly limited as to how much data can be used. Once I renew, the new plan kicks in, and the plan this thread is focused on ($199.99 for 12GB) makes no mention of hotspot.

My question is - does the Black Friday plan include hotspot or not? The broader question is do ANY of the eBay plans include hotspot?

I'm referring to this $200 plan and their other 8 gig plan they've had on eBay that goes down to the $120 mark - both on att.

I agree at this point that you are taking a gamble if you NEED the hotspot. I've had the plan we're taking about here for a year or two, having to be bumped up over the years from how these eBay deals work with them. Hotspot always just worked and there was no mention of it ever with these plans...

Hopefully someone here has needed to renew with this and confirm that the hotspot works at this point... I don't need to renew until end of December so I can't really fully confirm at this point...

To me, dealing with redpocket was always kind of a gamble, but it has been a gamble that worked out so far for me.

Is Infimobile based on the Verizon network? Do they offer GSMT?

Is there any known issue with Pixel phones and Infimobile? My family has three Pixel 6a phones.

I got two Red Pocket annual plans yesterday. My current RP GSMT plan has WiFi calling, international calling and Hotspot (don't know the limit). I hope it continues next year too. I posted these questions to the RP rep here and haven't heard back yet.

I am looking for a third one for my daughter who doesn't need a hotspot. Hence looking for annual options below $100. The options are Infimobile with 10 GB for $100, Lycamobile with 3 GB for $89. Others with decent data below $100?
