This is a pretty good deal from Verizon. This offer expires on 12/2. >

In addition you can recieve a $300 Verizon gift card that will appear as a popup during checkout.

Your reward will be sent via email within 8 weeks after receipt and validation of claim to the submitted email address. If service is canceled or device is returned, claim will be invalid. We reserve the right to charge the amount of the Verizon e-Gift Card to your Verizon Wireless account if, within 12 months, service is canceled, price plan changes from an eligible unlimited plan, or the line is connected to a device payment plan regardless of whether the new device is activated. A suspension without billing will add the time you are suspended to your 12 month chargeback window. Add'l terms apply."
Verizon devices auto unlock after 60 days.
Due to repeated questions in the thread here are additional details.
The $300 Verizon GC offer is tied to purchasing a smartphone online. You are eligible to claim this offer for every order transaction regardless if you are placing an order for 1 phone/line or 10 phones/lines.
The $200 Verizon GC offer folks have been receiving via sales chat/phone is a switch promotion. I am not able to find the terms for this offer but in the past this has been an available offer which requires you to port in from a non Verizon carrier that includes the various Verizon prepaids and MNVOs.
To my knowledge these Verizon GC offers have 12 month service terms or you will be charged back "claw back"
There are currently 2 separate iPhone 16 offers.
- the offer in this post which involves the trade in of any Apple, Google, and Samsung device for $1000 in bill credits with new lines
- no trade in required to receive $1000/$820/$640 in bill credits with new lines for the Ultimate/Plus/Welcome plans respectively
When you add the phone to the cart you must choose the right offer otherwise you will not go through the workflow with the step to add a trade in.
In addition if you enter a non Apple, Google, or Samsung device during the trade in you will receive the actual value of the device, including $0 if its older to be recycled,
AND you'll be defaulted to the non trade in promotion.
This is the reason at checkout some people are seeing $10/month or $5/month because they've selected the Welcome or Plus plan respectively and the non trade in offer has been applied.
There have also been a lot of "can I trade in XXX phone?".
The terms state you can trade in ANY Apple, Google, or Samsung phone in any condition. In my experience the any condition is intentionally meant to covered cracked screens and aesthetic damages. The device should turn on and function well enough that the IMEI can be retrieved and have no swelling/damaged battery (for safe handling reasons). Regarding any phone from the 3 manufacturers the process is constrained by the system and the list of devices/imei in its database. Be reasonable and don't expect extremely obscure or foreign region only devices to come up.
You can determine for yourself if a device qualifies for the $1000 by going through the online order process. You will need to enter the IMEI so you must have the device in hand. If you are not getting the $1000 value then you likely have not selected the right offer when adding the phone to the cart or your device is too obscure. I've attached screenshots of 2 devices that have been inquired about (A03 and 5c) showing the $1000 trade in amount.

4 free phones???!
So, say you get a phone for $1000 - Which Verizon will "finance" to you over 36 months. ($1k / 36 = $27.77)
Verizon will then Bill you $27.77 a month on your bill - BUT - they will then credit you $27.77 a month, every month, out to 36 months, effectively making it free - BUT you are locked in for 36 months to keep getting them to credit you the $27.77 charge they are doing every month.
You can do this on 4 phones...and I believe a 5th or more phone (YMMV). My deal included one phone that was NOT an iPhone 16...but still, they are charging me and crediting it /paying it off over those 36 months.
I believe you are talking about the $300, per line promo w/Walmart...But you didn't specify...so, I'm not sure.
I was going to upgrade one of kid's phone (it was free too but adding to my plan is $60/month!)
I could just get 4 phones and "Sell" the phone and plan for $40 a month lol. subsidize it somehow...
I don't wanna have another $120 a month bill though and I cannot sell the phone for a while either to recoup the cost.
Do you think I can move 2 of the new line's service to an older phone and then I SELL those 2 phones - locked to verizon is fine? haha

If I do this multi-day staggered ordering - do I chance missing the deal as it seems its limited time deal?
For 5 - 12 lines it's $27/line + tax.
The promo currently expires on 12/2 so yes you risk missing it for the other lines.
I did chat with Verizon and they offered to waive 35$ activation fee and give $200/line verizon gift card. If I go that route, I may not be able to use the cashback as it will be processed by the chat rep.
I can do bestbuy $100 and if I pair with the cash back $150, it will come close to the verizon chat offer. I might as well just do the chat offer to reduce chances of error.

Also keep in mind both Verizon $300/$200 GC offer will require 12 months of unsuspended service or they will claw it back.
I do recall using VZW gift cards being a real pain before. Can't just use on monthly bill because then you lose the autopay bank discount. You can pay all but a few $ and let autopay cover the rest. Anyone know if that is still the same?

Pay for 75% of the monthly bill and let auto-pay pay the rest. Sounds like a plan to me...
